I can see why this movie (and series, if people decide to continue selecting it) is more palatable and easier to follow than the first CW series. The other one just kind of drops you in and goes here are a bunch of battle scenes and don't worry about the characters or story because you know everyone already and what happens. But I also think that the micro series is important as well, because it has things that this and the movies don't show, like the knighting of Anakin, the introduction of Grievous and how dangerous he really was, plus it had a darker overtone, while this movie is more lighthearted. And the Clone Wars was a dark time. It wasn't a happy period in the Jedis' lives. It showed Anakin's propensity toward going to the dark side and you could see how conflicted he was. I'm not saying anything against this CW series, because I do love it as well. But one without the other doesn't really give you a complete picture of that time period.

You wondered if the Admiral was the character where the actor died and they recreated him using CGI and a stand-in actor. It's not, but that character does show up later in the series. In the military there are different levels of General. Basically, Obi-Wan is a higher-level General and Anakin is a lower-level General.

Zoot!

Admiral Yularen and Grand Moff Tarkin do share screen time together in ANH, which is a fun ret-con. :)
