The previous episode... on rewatch for me is an episode I usually skip or at least skim through. I couldn't tell you why I don't really like it, but I always find myself constantly pausing it to do other things because it doesn't interest me. Then we get to this episode right after. One of my favorites of the series! I look at it as the writers making up for the previous episode :)

This is by far one of my favourite episodes. I don't think I've ever laughed so much in the Stargate Universe. Absolutely amazing. Glad you liked it, I know quite a few people dont like Groundhog Day storylines so I was a little worried about how you'd feel with this episode. What was your favourite scene? I think mine was the golf scene "IN THE MIDDLE OF MY BACK SWING!!" 🤣🤣

1. So before I'm going into notes about 4x05.. I'mma jump straight into 4x06.. More importantly.. The intro ...Given you were left unimpressed by the new boring Ra intro I had an idea to make things more fun for you.. And so I went out of my way to custom make a special intro for you... I re-downloaded the episodes and took 35 clips from a bunch of episodes spanning from 1x01 to 4x04 (plus a gate opening shot from 4x10 but we've seen that a bunch of times so it's technically not a spoiler) and using some of those clips I put together a Smallville intro... I was somewhat inspired by something I saw on YouTube.. I can't show it cause THAT ONE contains spoilers.. But also when I saw SG-1 for the first time years ago.. When I used to download it in crappy quality.. Someone put alternate intros on some of the episodes for fun.. But yeah... You said you didn't like the Ra intro... So I got you Froots.. I made a new one just for you ....It's not gonna be in every episode cause I'm too paranoid my PC will crash again like it did when I made you the special Birthday video... But there ya go ...You are welcome 2. Daaaamn Froots.. That's some next level thinking ...A power you can only have for a limited amount of time and you came up with turn things into gold ....Here I was.. Crossing things off my list like telekinesis.. Flying and teleporting ....Turning things into gold.. That's thinking ahead ...Good one ...I'll take that power too 3. Yeeeeaahh... You said you missed the Teen Wolf Dad ...There ya go Froots... Martouf is back ....Sadly he didn't make it until the end though 4. Not only did the brainwashed SG team member suicide bomb.. He exploded into rocks ...Did you see that shit??!? ROCKS ...........ROCKS.. FROOTS!!! ...I.. Do you by any chance have some "evens" I can borrow?? ....I've lost mine and I can't 5. Teal'c showed up AFTER the forcefield seperating O'neill and Carter went down 6. Good on O'neill for keeping it in his pants ....Let's be real here... As we've seen before AND in this very episode... There's definitely someone he's interested in... And it for sure isn't Anise 7. Teal'c had the right idea... Why not just use a Duck Gun if you see someone is brainwashed and is about to kill themselves? ....That would've worked on the dead SG members too ....Plus it might've saved Martouf had they shot him a little earlier 8. You: "You shoulda kept the song though.. The original song" (talking about the SG-1 theme) Nah... I deliberately wanted to catch you off guard... So instead of adding the Stargate theme.. I went with Smallville instead and taught myself (by help of a video that I think was in Spanish cause it sure as fuck wasn't in English) to remake the Smallville intro text effect as best I could in After Effects 9. HA! First of all.. Look in the background.. Teal'c is not amused with having to put a thermometer in his mouth.. I made it the png for this edit .....But also... O'neill seems to like Froot Loops ...I can't help but wholeheartedly agree with his preference 10. So we've learned another thing about The Ancients ...The builders of the stargates ....They experimented with time ....Also note their language is again seen in this episode (we've seen it before in for instance The Fifth Race) ...I learned to read it a long time ago as it could be translated into English (a little easter egg the prop department put in place) ...It's all a bit fuzzy now since I haven't read anything Ancient since the last time it showed up on the show ...But I WAS able to almost perfectly read it on that map of Escape Simulator we did a few weeks back... While the letters used here aren't fully descipherable yet.. They evolve over time and perhaps when we get to seeing more of it I'll fill you in on what they say 11. True... Perhaps they could've tried dialing out a bit earlier than 1 minute... As we've learned before.. A gate can stay open for 38 minutes before it auto-closes ....Try dialing out earlier guys! ...Then again there's other worlds affected too.. We'd just be leaving them up to fate 12. O'neill.... You recorded your conversation with Daniel in the previous timeloop just so you could show it again to him now?? ..........Do you hear yourself speaking? 13. HA! O'neill is reading a book.. That's a joke in itself... But on the cover it says it's written by Joseph Mallozzi ....That's one of the writers on Stargate ...Nice little easter egg for ya right there 14. I've quoted several of O'neills lines a bunch of time in voice and in notes in the past ...You obviously didn't know ...But yeah I remember quoting the whole "2 fries short of a happy meal WACKO!" in a note once and the thing at the end "If at first you don't succeed... Try try try try try again" I've said that in voice at least 5 times ....I've been sneaking in O'neillisms for a looooong time Froots 15. I mean... While this dude lost his wife and going back in time wouldn't help cause he wouldn't be able to save her since she's got a disease that can't be cured ....O'neill lost his son cause Charlie shot himself... O'neill COULD save Charlie ...Sure I like that they brought it up too but it's not the same situation ...O'neill basically bluffed cause if he'd have said he would have been able to save Charlie then we'd still be stuck in this timeloop 16. Ehhhmmm... Carter says there's no way to know how much time passed ....Am I smarter than Carter? (don't answer that) ...Given the Tok'ra have been trying to contact them for 3 months we're already on to something ...But.. I'd suggest looking at the nightsky on several worlds and seeing how the stars have changed position or calling up some people outside of the affected area and asking them when the last time was they had a visit from the Tau'ri and then just extrapolate the answer to how much time has passed from that ...And.. Was the Alpha Site also affected?? Cause they could just ask there 17. Yeah this was a fun episode... Now if people were actually right about you not enjoying the show then you'd have sat there with the most bored look on your face ....Obviously they're wrong
