Homeland should be investigating the shooting. They deal with pretty much any problem that might threaten the US homeland. A special forces soldier shot to death in the middle of nowhere with multiple blood samples and bullet holes and casings everywhere, but no bodies is for sure something they should investigate especially when the victim is also a person of interest in a Homeland operation from Afghanistan. CIA (Agent Orange) deals with intel and threats to the US in the rest of the world. They have the real power because policy makers use intel from them to make decisions. The story with Lewis is to show what war does to the mind. You have people like Frank, Billy, Curtis, and Lewis. Each one has a completely different mindset after coming home. Micros family storyline is kinda the same as Lewis. Shows the effects on the family.
