I get your point about allegra and chester but if you remember frost/Catlin went with thier mother to heal Cisco is in Atlantis to find a device to enter the mirror verse number one Cisco don't use his powers anymore number two the writers it was a stupid decision but he didn't want his powers because he didn't want to be in the front lines and he didn't use them that much anyway I mean Allegra I hate her with every fiber in my being and Chester he's decent sometimes he just gets annoying when I can't stand him the showrunner wanted to change the Dynamics that's all I'm going to say so blame Eric Wallace

I like Allegra. She's not my favorite character, but I like her. Her being mad at Wells for lying to her makes sense. He keeps doing it and he keeps trying to convince her that he won't do it again. She already had serious trust issues from how she grew up. I get Wells not wanting to tell anyone about him being the option. He doesn't want to die. He could tell them though. None of them would suggest that they go with an option that kills him, so he didn't need to lie. Danielle gave birth in April of 2020. That was basically 6 months to the day before this season started filming. I'm not sure why she wasn't in this episode. It could be because she was written out of the script at the end of season 6 for her pregnancy. (Side note: She's about 6 months pregnant with her 2nd child right now.)

They introduced more characters because Tom Cavanaugh and Carlos Valdes had expressed to the showrunners prior to season 6 that they wanted more time off. All the Wells' getting killed off this episode was Tom's choice.

All I'm saying is that Carlos maybe want to leave at the end of season 5 I mean that was basically giving up his powers basically was I mean the reason why they kept him around because he's a beloved character but honestly after season 3 there was no reason to keep him around anymore

When season 6 was greenlit it got 22 episodes same as season 5. When the season met an early end due to covid episode 20 had already been filmed but not episode 21 and 22. Those three episodes were then turned into the season openers for season 7. Makes sense that the episode wouldn't really feel like a proper season premiere cause it isn't. It's really just the 3rd to last episode of season 6 and it should be viewed as such. Season 7 is currently the shortest at just 18 episodes. But I personally still count the first three as episodes from season 6 cause it's the same story unintentionally split apart so really season 7 only has 15 episodes. Personally I still quite enjoyed the episode, didn't like them killing off Mirror Master like he wasn't important and then also retroactively making his influence as a villain even lesser. Seeing Flash fully capable again after such a long while is great tho. The new feature of Barry being able to retract his mask via nanotech is one I too quite enjoy and it's thankfully not just a one-off thing.

Why does everybody hate Cisco giving up his powers? Yeah its not something i would do BUT it is his choice to do what he wants with his own body and powers. We should respect his choice.
