Hey Shan, new fan here but just want to say how much I love your reactions. My nostalgic love for Buffy brought me to your channel and I have enjoyed your other work. What have you prefered so far, overall, the Netflix Marvel shows, the Disney Marvel shows or all the other Marvel shows?

Andrew Polinski

Loved it, loved it, loved it. This was actually advertised quite heavily, there is about 2 trailers and about 10 tv spots it was one of the most watched Superbowl commercials as well. Now the nitty gritty's, the way they didn't show what happened between blackouts was a great way to do the car chase gives mystery to the scene. Oscar Issacs acted his arse off, his British accent as Steven almost makes you think his American accent of Mark was the fake one, the scene at the steak house was so amazingly acted. The only stuff I know about Moon Knight is what I read and heard on other channels and through the trailers, I'm of course not going to say any of those things here but I have most definitely been looking forward to this series.

Kinda just what I expected from the first episode based on the trailers. I loved the idea of focusing on Steven and having Marc only be hinted at and shown only at the end. The focus on Steven let you discover Marc along with Steven since most people don’t know the Moon Knight character. There were a few CGI scenes that looked a little weird although, big bird-head dude looked pretty good. Other than that, great first foot forward. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Like you, I have zero knowledge of the character going into this but I did find it interesting. It seems to me that there are 3 identities within the same body - Steven, Mark and Moon Knight. Or maybe Moon Knight is Mark's alter ego. In any case, I look forward to seeing how this turns out.

1. Oscar Isaac was born in Guatamala and raised in Miam, Florida.. According to an interview he based his british accent on a bunch of british comedians.. To the outside observer his accent is good.. To a Londoner however it was said his accent was bad.. But this wasn't cause of poor research.. According to Isaac himself he's intentionally pulling off a bad accent due to reasons behind the characters background ...added later... Later explained in this episode and in Note 4. 2. Nah.. The villain on X-men First Class was played by Kevin Bacon... This villain is played by Ethan Hawke 3. I find it kinda hard to believe it took him half a day to figure out he blacked out for 2 days... I suppose the girl wasn't all too happy with getting stood up though.. I can understand her anger 4. "Laters Gators" is a thing Oscar deliberately threw in to the accent apparently... It's apparently a thing to further indicate there's more to his character than meets the eye... No idea what that entails though ...added later... This Layla person just asked what's with his accent... Maybe he's not actually british? 5. I looked it up.. In Japan and in Japanese, anime (an abbreviated term derived from the English word animation) describes all animated works, regardless of style or origin. However, outside of Japan and in English, anime is colloquial for Japanese animation and refers specifically to animation produced in Japan.... It works both ways Froots ...Avatar is anime ..Anime is animation according to the people who make "anime" ...That is all

Hey, loving the hair. I am also very new to Moon Knight, he's another unknown character unless you've read the comics. All I know about him is that he's comparable to some DC characters. This also didn't feel like an MCU show, it felt different and standalone. I'm intrigued to see more.
