With just the 3 series you mentioned and including the current season of SG1 you have a combined 15 seasons of Gateverse ahead of you.

Quite possibly more since Brad Wright (for Shannan: Creator of these shows) is still in negotiations to create a new Stargate show set in the same verse which could potentially come out by the time Shannan reaches the end of the current lot of shows / movies. added: please nobody reply with who could potentially be in it or any other spoilers regarding stuff she hasn't seen yet, thanks. :)

You missed the entire point of the Needle Threader ship. It's not "conveniently" small enough to fit through the Stargate, it was DESIGNED to fit through the Stargate. From what Bra'tac said, it was an experimental prototype that was abandoned because it's darned hard to fly a ship that large through a Stargate without hitting it. There simply weren't enough pilots that could handle it to make mass production viable. Also, this episode is significant because it's the first time a Jaffa rebellion type force has actually taken arms against the Goa'ld. I don't count Bra'tac's two friends from before since they were his personal trainees, while this force was raised from among the Jaffa as a whole. Whether this continues or was a one time thing, it still seems significant.
