We did have a corrupt cop storyline on this show. One cop worked for Cicada in 5x11 (Seeing Red) and gave him names of metahumans that got out of prison. I'm not surprised you forgot, it's Season 5 after all

Barry was having qualms about stealing that device for Iris. "What if it fell into the wrong hands...?" and all that. But he sure had no problem stealing alien tech to fight Savitar and even broke time travel rules to do it despite being warned the same thing that he just said in this episode.

Lady, you call yourself a quantum scientist and you spent 6 years trying out over 1,300 different ways to free yourself, and you never thought to freeze the mirror and break it? You needed some reporter woman who probably didn't even really understand how it worked the first time to tell you that? For shame!

Such an obvious set-up: guy tells the girl to stay behind despite her protests of "being able to look after herself" and "outdated gender politics", then guy gets caught immediately so that girl can come show him up and save him. Whoop-de-doo, female empowerment moment... Ralph has friggin' superpowers! When that guy was punching him, wouldn't his body just stretch and absorb the impact? If anything is lame and outdated in this, it's that moment right there.

I've decided that I really hate it when two characters are being set up to have a relationship later but instead of just letting the chemistry and bond build, another character has to come in and inform them of their attraction and needlessly spell it out to us, the audience, that those are gonna like each other. Groooooaaaaannnnn
