Another truly shocking call by a CW show in my opinion. Most other shows, the kids would make it just in time to save them. Nope! 320 people dead. This scene reminds me of the end of Arrow season one and the 500 dying in the Undertaking. I love when shows have the ball to go through with the horrific even every so often. Gives a show stakes and makes you feel actual danger when something like this happens. One of my favorite episodes this season

The 100 tv show is completely different. The general theme and half of the main characters are the same their circumstances are different. For one, Wells lived a lot longer. Jasper, Monty, Raven and a few others are characters created for the show. The show is also quite a bit darker.

The dropships communications were destroyed on the way down to earth. It was a 100 year old ship and the antennae came off upon entry into the earth’s atmosphere.

so you were wondering about protection? so everyone on the arc got sterilized to make sure to keep the population down and something like Octavia doesn't happen( Octavia's mom had her illegally and that's why she had to live under the ground for 16 years.) more people =less oxygen, less oxygen =less time to live in space

everyone who was of age to get the "procedure" so I'm sure all of the younger children didn't have it yet so those kids can procreate for the future

This entire topic is murky in both the show and book. The Ark started with around 400 people. 97 years later they have around 2,400 people. We know that the parents generation were only allowed to have 1 kid so then the population would actually have had to have been closer to 3,000 at one point. Assuming equal number of men and women each couple in the first three generations would have had to have around 3 kids each. The

They also weren't sterilized. Once women are of age to give birth they have implants inserted into them. In an throwaway line in a future episode Abby makes a comment about removing the implants so that they can grow the population. Outside of that one line this is a subject they just completely ignore.

when I said sterilized that was me saying what you just said in a very shortened way lol

i hope no one gets pregnant as a teen on this show but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.
