Zoot!

Was a bit worried you'd hate it because it was made in 1985 and set in 1954, but that was a really fun reaction! This is one of my top 3 favorite movies of all time, and honestly it gets better the more times you watch it. About the endings - when this movie first came out in cinemas, they did something unique. Each cinema got a version of the film with only 1 of the endings. You'd have to go see it 3 times to see all 3 endings. Cinemas would eventually list if they had the A, B, or C ending. For the DVD they added those title cards and I think the BluRay you can tell it to randomly pick just 1 of the endings. I consider the last one the true ending, but all 3 are technically true endings. I agree with you about that last line by Mr. Green.

I'm really sorry to say this, but I stopped watching at 38 minutes. You missed so much character development and jokes because you were looking elsewhere. If you want to check something, pause the movie. This movie is visual, you need to watch character's faces and body language to understand the humor. Usually people are laughing at this point and I don't think it got even a chuckle out of you. Once again, sorry, no offense.

Funny you should say Miss Scarlet (Lesley Ann Warren) looks like Lois Lane (Teri Hatcher) from Lois & Clark. She played her mother on Desperate Housewives. She also auditioned to be Lois Lane in Superman: The Movie (1978) starring Christopher Reeve, but lost out to Margot Kidder. I'm with Zoot on the ending. They could all be seen as true endings, but the 3rd and final one is the "real" ending. It's called Cluedo in the UK & Australia as a combo of the words Clue & Ludo (latin for play).

For about 90% of the film I wasn't sure if you knew this was a comedy. lol.
