In this reaction, you concluded too quickly and easily about both Victoria and David. Victoria could never have known that Daniel would decide to visit Emily that evening. Yes, she wants to get rid of Emily, but she would never purposely sacrifice Daniel in that pursuit. Furthermore, Emily did indeed decide to investigate her father's situation and he specifically asked her not to. She looked into the FBI agent (Katherine Black) and that endeavour led to that same agent showing up at her house and in the end to a deadly gunfight. As a result, Emily is just as guilty of Daniel's death as Victoria, if not more guilty. As for David, there could have been a multitude of reasons why he made mistakes. He had to do several things at once: Hide a body, watch out for both Victoria and Emily, and act very normal himself. And doing things quickly can lead to making mistakes. Furthermore, He is also not completely stable since his return. And let's not forget about the many emotions that pass by during this kind of situation. Finally, he could have planned those mistakes to make him look human and not suspicious. I mean which killer leaves his keys in the car? Finally, I also am clueless about why David suddenly wants to kill Victoria. Seems the show decided to throw in a new twist to keep things interesting.
