I watched this in 2011, it gave me nostalgia vibes, super cheesy in places but still a fun watch. I have very little knowledge of the DC world so inconsistencies were never a problem for me during the show.

I watched this back when it was airing around the same time as Smallville. Smallville was originally conceived as an origin of Bruce as Batman but then they went with Clark and they had this air during s2 of Smallville. It's an alternate reality that is similar to the Keaton Batman universe. Some character stuff and powers are original some are based on things from the comics that were sometimes canon sometimes not and considered multiverse stuff. Like with Huntress there are comics with Catwoman and Batman having a girl called Helena and being like an earth 2 Huntress. There is also different takes and version of Dinah or Laurel back then. With Mark Hamill as the Joker back then it was just crazy to have him voice him at all and for them to adapt Killing Joke. I liked the show. Could some stuff have been better maybe but looking back it would have been cool to have a few seasons of it now to go back to.

Jon

This is based on earth 2 comic, where Huntress is Batman and Catwoman's daughter.

I did watch this as it aired. I felt much like you did about some of the changes from the comics. Oracle/Batgirl was the closest to being comic book accurate IMO. The first Huntress in DC comics was the daughter of the Earth-2 Batman and Catwoman but that TV show costume was dreadful and making her a cat-like metahuman was weird. A lot of the special effects weren't great. But I watched the entire show because there wasn't much in the way of live-action comic book superheroes on TV back then and there had been much worse TV superhero-type shows I had seen in my life.
