i agree that the musical sort of came out of nowhere but i thought it was cool and enjoyed it.

Eh, nothing can top Doom Patrol for weirdness. Though I will give credit to Legends for trying real hard.

Jordan St. James

I don't remember if they were actually conducting, like, "mad scientist" experiments on the creatures. Maybe they only assumed the creatures were being experimented on because they were being rough on them. It's possible that they were just trying to tame them. Or maybe this Neron-guy was doing some shady shit to the creatures without Hank's knowledge.

Jordan St. James

Yes, Astra was the little girl that Constantine tried to save but who was ultimately dragged to Hell. That was indeed from the Constantine show but I guess it would be more accurate to say that it was from the comics.

Chris Peacock

Legends isn’t as weird, but it could be argued (and I am) that Doom Patrol is just TOO weird.

I loved the song. Personally thought it was a better written original song then the two in Duet. Tala Ashe and Ramona Young were both really singing and both sounded great. Tala should have been in Duet. They had actors from other arrowverse shows already so “Zari” being there would not have been an issue.

Brandon Wiesner

The breaking into song was odd but at least it was just once and not throughout the episode. Plus I like the fact that there was a reasonable in story explanation for it.

Chris Peacock

Oh yeah. For some reason I was thinking Zari was in season 2. No idea why.

2021-07-19 20:22:11 I've got a theory... a dancing demon... no, something just isn't right there. With a hindu love "god" creature, breaking into song isn't really that weird plus it's normal for musicals and bollywood stuff. I kinda think the Jane Austin and Bellwood stuff was really just to get Zari, Ray and Mona from point A to point B with relationship stuff. Each had there own hangups and this kinda got them past that stuff and focused on that instead of the Nora stuff which could be easily found out and lead to Constantine finding out about Neron.

Hank is one of the most weirdest characters on the show. I mean Hank decided to infiltrate a secret Bureau, to kidnap helpless creatures that literally escaped a prison (End of Season 3); with the help from a demon possessing Constantine's ex, from hell; manipulating time (gaining money as they said); just to build a theme park because his son drew a picture when he was a kid. Of all the motives I've seen, this is probably the most random one ever. But then again this is Legends.

Steven Davison

I've only just seen this 3 months later but the reason Hank's motive is so weird is because he was initially meant to be kind of a secondary villain for the season, but then they loved the actor so much and he threw himself into the show so fully that half way through the season they changed it so he was just a good guy with weird methods.
