I see what you mean, but I’ll disagree with you about Belle. The Belle you imagine is the, tbh, the “perfect” Belle we know pictured in the original movie. In here, you get to see with the characters and be reminded that they’re human, not just fairy tale characters with no layers. I mean it’s one thing to say that she wouldn’t rush to save Anna, but to not go after her at all would definitely be far from the cartoons personality. And with the snow queen or really any kind of episode in general, I think you rush into your opinions about things without playing the storyline through. With OUAT for example, there’s always connections and reasons for why certain choices or even motives are made. You just gotta watch through the season to connect the dots as a whole.

Here I completely agree with you. In the cartoons, the heroes always do the right thing and are morally superior. OUAT takes a much more realistic approach. Heroes are only human. People who occasionally make mistakes or are even selfish. They learn from this and become the people they are today. We don't know exactly what kind of person Belle was before her mother died, but I think we do know to what extent this mistake influenced and shaped her.

Belle is human, she makes mistakes and does things every human would do. Please dont look at her as a perfect princess that cant do any bad.
