Yeah watching the entire season and watching the build up for karamel again, and even having to suffer with him being married....it was leading to one thing and then they just ripped the rug right under us. However we did know he was leaving from spoilers so the entire back half of the season was just us karamel fans being pissed off that it was continuing to build literally until the finale...idk what happened. I do know Chris wanted to leave because of the toxic fandom....and Jeremy wanted to leave because he was away from his family. I think they did Winn’s goodbye a lot better, and poor Mon-El fans were stuck with a shitty goodbye and not even a hug. It truly sucked.

Kara goes back in time to save everyone that just died. Meanwhile somewhere on Earth 3 Jay Garrick grabs a coffee mug...

Devil’s Arrow

I’m not a shipper so I couldn’t really care if mon-el goes back or not as long as the writing is good. Wynn on the other hand I was upset to see him leave

Devil’s Arrow

Yeah I remember hearing that. Melissa goes to Broadway during the break between this season and the beginning of the next too

Andrew Polinski

Sam was linked to Reign and that is why she had powers but with Reign gone Sam is no longer linked and therefore has no powers. Personally I don't get this whole shippers thing, yeah I like certain characters being together and other shows I hope characters get together but I never get invested in them. It could be because I see these as characters on a show and not real life. My thoughts on characters leaving shows it sucks when you like a character and then they leave but I never see it as rude though because generally it's because the actor wants to move onto new projects, I also try now not to get too invested in secondary characters these day because so many people from shows i have liked have left. I.E. for any Killjoy fans out there "Potter" that one sucked.

I totally agree with you about how the season unfolded. It started off so strong, but then collapsed in on itself. I don't know for sure what happened but I feel like the writers may have had other plans for how things were supposed to go but changed storylines along the way. The whole back half of the season just feels weird and completely different from the first half. It’s not a bad season, it just feels like it didn’t live up to it’s potential. It’s sad to see Winn go but sometimes actors want to move on. At least they sent him to the future rather than killing him off. As for Mon-El. Well, his destiny lies in the future. It’s where and when he is meant to be.

One reason for the change in story could be because this was the Arrowverse "season" that Andrew Kreisberg was fired for sexual harassment allegations during. At the time, he was a showrunner of both The Flash and Supergirl. He was fired in November. There's a chance they still had writing for the end of the season to do, and with Greg Berlanti taking his role, some story ideas probably went in different directions.

It’s the main reason for the change. If it feels like a completely different season in the 2nd half it’s because it is. The main showrunner got kicked off. Finally. So the co-showrunners took over and had to change some stuff. It’s why the first half of season 3 feels different from other Supergirl seasons as well. Andrew Kreisberg main showrunner has never gotten full say as he had to work with Ali Adler for the first two seasons. Then she left because she couldn’t stand Andrew all the allegations and nobody did anything. Then they finally did because Hollywood was entering a reckoning with #MeToo.

Kevin Tran

I agree with you Andrew it sucks when characters leave but we have to understand sometimes it’s not the writers decision. A lot of times it’s the actors who want to move on. This season alone Stein, Rip, and Jax all gone due to actors wanting to move on. Is there any polite way to write these characters off? Lol especially when we get so attached

I agree with what the people before me wrote and can't think of anything I could add. They said it all I think. Great reaction as always, honest and from the heart.

David Brown

4:26 Shan, Kara/Supergirl says to Brainy: "You're all clear kid. Now let's blow this thing and go home." It's from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Han Solo says it to Luke Skywalker after shooting down a TIE Fighter, which sent Vader's fighter hurtling away so Luke could then blow up the Death Star. Which he did. Jeremy Jordan chose to leave to be with his family. Which is also why Stephen Amell ultimately chose to end Arrow, with Supergirl and Arrow filming in Canada and their families living in the U.S. At least Mon-El still has his head.

Brandon Wiesner

I dont know that she needed a whole synopsis of the scene. She got that it was from star wars. She clearly isn't big on it.

Jon Dub

Lucky you were here to speak for her Brandon. Otherwise she may have wasted 6 seconds reading David's overwrought post! You fucking hero!
