Jessica's detective agency is called "Alias Investigations" and one of her most notable runs in the comics was "Alias" by Brian Michael Bendis. They might have even called the whole show Alias if not for JJ Abrams tv show 'Alias' which ran for 5 seasons on ABC in the past. So insead of Alias, they wanted to call the show Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones. But for some reason they dropped the AKA at some point in production and the creator of this show Melissa Rosenberg just put the AKA at the beggining of every episode title. I hope you know what AKA stands for, so it's a essentially became a replacement for the word Alias in the titles)

I never really picked up on this before, maybe everyone else did and I'm just stupid, or maybe I'm being stupid now, but when Jessica is dragging Hope out of the hotel room, and she is screaming "I can't leave" and fighting with all her might not to go, I always just thought it was part of her conditioning. But now I'm thinking that she is fighting because maybe she knew she was ordered to kill her parents when she sees them, but is not allowed to say anything, so she is desperate not to let Jessica take her to them. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but it is even more fucked up if that is the case.

I think you’re right. And it adds even more to her resentment of Jessica and being able to tell her nonchalantly to go kill herself. We know at the very least she wasn’t out of Kilgrave’s conditioning yet, and so either she’s a psychopath or was ordered to kill her parents if she leaves. Since the show is treating her as a victim it lends itself to your theory being spot on.

I don’t think so. She would have told Jessica that. And if Kilgrave had told her not to say anything about that then she wouldn’t have screamed about it. Interesting theory tho

In the comics Jessica can fly not just jump really high though she is bad at it so she doesn't like to do it. Unfortunately they took away her flight in the show for "realism". Also you are correct about Luke and Jessica in the comics they are married and have a baby together.

No she just jumps I even read an article where the show creators admitted she doesn't fly on the show

Krysten Ritter in this role is my favorite Marvel casting. Also, Killgrave is the most menacing villain in the entire MCU.
