This one was one of my favorites from back as a kid. I had some films on VHS at home or rented them a bunch in 80s early 90s and Short Circuit 1 and 2 were on the watchlis. Others included The Original Star Wars Trilogy, The Indiana Jones Trilogy, Ghostbusters 1&2, Gremlins, Breakfast Club, The TMNT ones, Ferris Bueller, and some others I'm probably not thinking of. Man the 80s and 90s were great.

Yay, I'm glad you liked it! Cute is how I'd describe it too. This has been a fav of mine for a very long time. It's got one of my favorite movie lines ever - "Hey laser lips! Your momma was a snowblower!" There is one sequel that will get picked eventually. Remeber that AoS episode from season 7 with the robots? They reminded me of Number Five :)

Ok so as if your reacting to SG1 was not enough of a draw, I saw this in your movie reactions and immediately upped my sub because of it. I don't think I've seen anyone else watch this gem from my childhood before. It somehow holds up pretty well still, but for some reason I can't quite put my finger on, I like the sequel more. I guess your not really recognising anyone from this movie makes sense given how old it is, but the lead Ally Sheedy was in The Breakfast Club and was pretty propular at the time, not sure if you have ever seen that one though. Also Steve Guttenberg and G.W. Bailey who were Newton and Captain Scroter respectively were mainstays of the Police Academy movies. Ohhh and Fisher Stevens who is Ben... well he is just doing a somewhat tired stereotypical Indian character, but the actor himself is white. He was in Hackers amongst other things. I think I'll find the time tonight to watch your reaction the the second one actually.
