As a kid I watch this movie alot and love it but agree with point some movies our ment to seen as kids to get full effect.

I know they look young but Mikey and Mouth are 13 and Andy and Stef are 16 in the film so while they are a bit younger it's not that weird. They might not date but a kiss isn't that bad especially back then. It's not like they were 10 or something. There might be a bit of a double standard because if the guy was older it might seem even weirder to people but back then as audience member and a young boy it was more of a wish fulfillment where it would be cool to kiss a cute older girl.

Don't know if you realized but the guy Sean Astin who plays Mikey in this is also Bob on Stranger Things S2 and Samwise in Lord of the Rings.

Hey you guys!!!! :D I know it's a bit silly, but this is one of my favorite movies. I think it's because it's like a coming of age movie, with a group of kids. I like that. We get it in ET too, and that's also one of my favs. Then there's Stand By Me. And recently with Stranger Things.

I was surprised that she didn't mention recognizing him on Stranger Things but I don't think she has gotten into LOTR and he was a bit young for her to recognize him here.
