Silver kryptonite was in season 5, it made Clark paranoid and gave him hallucinstions and it was Brainiac who broke its hold over him when he was pretending to be his friend Milton Fine

I'm glad you saw how special Maggie and Alex became after being rather indifferent to them at first. Supergirl is considered stronger than her cousin because unlike Kal, Kara doesn't hold back in using her great strength. Something Superman has learned to do over time.

Crash landing on Earth and contracting lead poisoning and having to leave Earth are the only things this version of the Mon-El has in common with the source material. If you think Kara beating Clark in a fight is disrespectful try an entire season of of one of the most heroic and noble characters in all of comics being portrayed as a jackass. In my opinion, the writers of the show created an original character and slapped the name Mon-El on him because they’re lazy and couldn’t be bothered to actually research the character before introducing him onto the show. Now that’s disrespectful.

They’re a few iterations of supergirl that is stronger than Superman and this is her show so I’m fine with it.

Get used to the CW writers tearing down Superman to build up Supergirl. If you're at all familiar with pro wrestling terms, they turn Superman into a complete jobber.

The fight was pretty even in my opinion. In the comics, Supergirl is slightly stronger than Superman. And I do agree. At this point, Superman has been operating for at least 13 years and has fought Zod several times and Lex Luthor at his best. In this case I feel like experience should beat strength. Now a more experienced Supergirl should beat Superman but not Year 2

It would've been fine if she just beat him, but this show........ they just needed to hammer that down a couple times too much. they needed him to say that he was at full strenght, that Kara is the champion of earth now, 'you are so much stronger than me Kara, I am humbled by you'...... come one guys,,,,,,,

Expectation spoilers: A form of spoiler where you tell a person you can't wait to see what they think about what's coming up next, How you feel about certain character or story development that hasn't happened yet. It gives the person feeling of "expectation" and this impacts the way they feel about what they're about to watch. This has happened before where people basically told Shannan Season 4 of Arrow was going to suck. Shannan has been notified by us and is not able to read the comments on Supergirl 2x22 because some people either do not agree or do not care about posting expectation spoilers when it comes to Arrowverse or anything else she watches for that matter. Like you said he uses a ship to get to other planets. Some comics, movies and shows have Kryptonians "breathing or holding breath in space" and others don't. It's a multiverse. The ending and the way cut it and the music kind of reminded me of the way some Smallville episodes end with music. I know alot of shows do but there is a certain feeling and way about it that is in some early and mid 2000s shows especially Smallville that I like. I don't always think it's done as well or as much in recent years and could be my age born in 83 but really a lot of the last best music IMO is from the 90s and early 2000s.

While I agree that theoretically Clark probably should have been stronger than Kara (he was on earth absorbing the yellow sun for like two decades before Kara’s pod came out of the phantom zone), I personally don’t think it’s in any way disrespectful to his character. I think saying he shouldn’t lose because the character of Supergirl wouldn’t exist without him is inherently nonsensical. That basically boils down to “Superman should win because he’s Superman.”

I will say though, that the dialogue they gave Clark was definitely very heavy-handed and unnecessary. They didn’t need to repeatedly tell the viewers “Kara is stronger, Kara is stronger.” They already showed us that. The words seemed excessive.

Tony, what's the word on letting Shan know Alura (Kara's mother) has been recast? Not necessarily who was cast. Those of us who read the press releases at the time were fully aware going into the season. Without that knowledge, the way it happens in the show would be quite confusing.
