The one worry I had with this show after the first episode or two was that the show was being lead by a main character that rarely talks and you can't see his face to know what he is thinking or feeling. As you noticed here the actor that plays him put those fears to rest rather early on. He is incredibly talented at doing that. Had I known who the actor was (I avoided all spoilers on the show) I never would have had those fears. I won't spoil who it is (if you haven't already been spoiled). As for why the other mandalorians helped him. "This is the way" says it all. They are kind of like a family. They may fight with each other every once in a while but if someone attacks one of them they will all come to their aid.

I got really behind on reactions so just watched this last night. Great comments about the character. It's one of the things that really drew me to the show - they hired a big name actor and he wears a mask the whole time. It's a slow paced show in many places (lots of walking from one place to another in this episode), but the mannerisms, head-tilts and just how he carries himself really sell it for me. Baby Yoda was the awesome bonus on top of that :) Will keep picking this one!

Hey I thought I'd mention it since you couldn't know unless you saw the name or looked it up or someone told you but the actress who plays the Mandalorian who he goes to to make new armor is Emily Swallow who plays Amara AKA The Darkness or God's sister on SPN.
