I love Red Dwarf, grew up watching it. Thanks to El for picking it & thanks Shan for watching it. One thing I'd say is that it was filmed in front of a live audience so the laughter is real

As a RD fan I happy to see it being given some recognition, but not here. Which ever dumbbell put this up should be shamed in the street. This is very much not ASR friendly. That said I love me some Cat.

Regarding how long running the series is - Red Dwarf went on a short hiatus in the 90s, then after coming back for a few years it was cancelled by the BBC in the early 2000s. Then a few years ago, a British TV channel called Dave (there's even a Dave+1 channel called Dave Ja Vu) got the rights for it and started making new episodes with the original cast. They're even making a TV movie now, due to be released this year. This first season is a bit rough and ready but the quality really picked up in later seasons.

Ah red dwarf, I can remember watching this with my mum 20 years ago and there was a certain episode that made us both laugh so much I was actually physically sick. Still makes me laugh just thinking about it.

This was one of the 1st shows that brought ot my inner nerd, Tuesday nights were pretty much the only night I didn't get in trouble for being home late, it was my quantum leap / red dwarf double header night

ASR liked that far more than I expected. "Old" (visual & story-telling style), sci-fi, laugh track, low budget...

I take your point, but... forcing someone to watch, and react, to a program you like but know they won't is a bit on the shameful side. ASR has expressed on multiple occasions a lack of interest in these types of shows (including episodes of shows), the older laugh-tracked culturally specific.

Noone is forcing her to react to anyshow. while she may expressed a lack of interest in shows like this same could be said for parks which you didnt seem to have an issue with so may try to be alittle nicer

What you mean is you don't like it so no one should pick it? Your claim to be a red dwarf fan is laughable as any fan of the show knows that the early season were performed live do there is no laugh track

Red Dwarf is quite peculiar. Most love it or avoid it. They did get better at softening the heavy British foibles and grammar. And yes it's spread over decades with year gaps between seasons. I mean if it's a 3 million year trip...it will never end.

One of my absolute favourite sit-coms growing up. It gets better, then worse, then okay again but series 3-6 are gold.
