And now for one of the greatest swordfights of all time. ALL of it done by the actual actors. (with the one exception being the gymnastic leap & spin done by the Dread Pirate Roberts. :D

I love this classic so much!!! It's one of my favorite movies of all time because it has everything you could ever want in a movie and story. Just like the Grandfather said, it's got adventure, fantasy, swordfighting, daring escapes, pirates, revenge, true love, etc... It's so amazingly beautiful and so much fun. It's deliciously cheesy too, which is why people love to quote this movie today so much, and why it's a classic everyone loves. My favorite characters are Westley played by Carey Elwes, Inigo Montoya played by Mandy Patinkin, the Grandfather played by Peter Falk, and Miracle Max played by Billy Crystal. However, I love Princess Buttercup played by Robin Wright, Fezzik played by Andre the Giant, and Vizzini played by Wallace Shawn too. Such brilliant and fun characters you love to laugh for. As for my favorite scenes... First, I love the scene when Inigo and Fezzig bring Westley to Miracle Max for a miracle to revive Westley. Miracle Max is hilarious and I laugh so hard at this scene every time. And second, I love the whole swordfight scene between Westley and Inigo on the Cliffs of Insanity. So brilliant! Thank you so much for your reaction to this movie! I really enjoyed watching it again as you watched it for the first time. I look forward to many more movie reactions from you. Until next time...

After Star Wars, this is my favorite movie of all time. Saw it in cinemas as a grade 6 field trip. Can't wait to watch this!

I kid you not, my first time watching this movie was on VHS while off sick from school with my grandmother. One of the few movies from childhood I still enjoy as much as an adult.

When Wesley gets knocked out by the 6 fingered man, the actor actually gets knocked out. There was an accident on set and that is the take they decided to use.

People can be born with 6 fingers, I used to work with a guy who had to thumbs on his right hand. Polydactyly or polydactylism also known as hyperdactyly, is an anomaly in humans and animals resulting in supernumerary fingers and/or toes. (Thank you Wikipedia for the correct term)

Obviously this is a much beloved classic movie but I just don't get it. I actually forgot that I had seen the entire movie I think because I found it somewhat boring and it gets so much praise I felt that I must not have seen it because if I had seen it surely I would remember how great it is. I hope that makes sense. LOL

The thing to remember about this movie is that is a mixing of genres. Besides the fantasy/love story elements, it's also a comedy and a parody of sorts. The parts that you thought were "goofy" were intentional.

The director Rob Reiners father would read The Princess Bride to him when he was a kid. Thats why he decided to make this film.

Timey Wimey🤗😁 Well... other the the Back to the future Trilogy, willow, the dark crystal, the labyrinth, Bill and Ted and the rocky horror picture show, the Princess Bride was one of my all time favorite movies growing up... guess that could also be due to the generation I was born into because they all still are my faves to this day. I still get teary eyed when I see Andre the giant be his adorableness in this movie.
