I've been waiting for this... Love the idea of showing an episode from the perspective of the car

I can understand why Sam would dream about his mother even if he never really knew her.

Love this episode! Also, Dean saying "I guess I did shoot the deputy" is a call back to season 3 episode 12 'Jus In Bello' where Henriksen says, "I shot the sherif" and Dean replies, "at least you didn't shoot the deputy."

That whole bit though is a reference to the song "I Shot the Sheriff." I'm sure you knew that but replying for others that don't.

I... LOVE... THIS... EPISODE. Seeing things from Babys point of view the first time mad me happy. As for being quirky, sure... it's an original Supernatural episode, but not really THE quirky episode of this season in my personal opinion. QUIRKY... CORNY AND DOWNRIGHT HYSTERICAL EPISODES IN THE NEAR FUTURE... in my personal opinion, of course. Maybe others would disagree... I'm ok with that.

Don't worry about Baby bc they have several cars in different stages of wreckedness plus the most important one they even have one where the top can be removed for shots inside the car like the one where Sam and Dean were sleeping in her and a couple more just for parts but there is a #1(Jensen's car)& #2( Jared's ) Impala which rumor has it(from Jensen) they will be leaving with when the show is completely done......at least that's what J2 has said😎👌

This episode is absolutely a spiritual successor to ones like 'Ghostfacers' and that found footage werewolf story. It's creative. It's a risk. And it adds some needed variety to the standard formula. What I enjoy even more about this one is the first half of the episode really feels like a throwback to season 1. We get to spend some time with Sam & Dean just being brothers. We get to ride along and enjoy some totally irrelevant human moments. We get to remember why we got so invested in them as characters before the world was in constant imminent danger.

One my favorite not number 1 but definitely in the top 10.I feel episodes like these is why Supernatural last as long as it did there not afraid to take chances creatively.

This episode is a total fan favorite. This show does really experiment a lot. I think the quirky episodes have mostly worked out well. For most people. I don't think Dean wants to use any of the other cars in the bunker. They're about 50 or more years old, so they'd stand out like a sore thumb and likely not drive as well as Baby. I feel bad for Sam. Here he is like in season 4, thinking he has a special mission The valet parking girl took Baby on a joyride?! It's called Joyriding. People actually do that here - with other people's cars. Whether it's someone at a mechanic's shop or valet parking, etc. can't find one penny? stuff them all into the mouth and maybe that will add up to enough. lol "baby's first kill" - lol~ you had me laughing with that line. Was it her first kill?? Guess so. She hasn't killed anyone by running them over, as far as I can remember.

I imagine Dean doesn’t want to use any other car simply because they’re not Baby. I wouldn’t assume the age has anything to do with it, given that Baby is a ‘67 Impala, making her 49 years old at the time of this episode’s release. To be fair though, I wouldn’t be surprised if many of the vehicles in the bunker are far older than that too.
