Oh,this ending with Klaus and Hayley! Iconic!

Im surprised shan didn't get any weird incestuous vibes between tristan and aurora at the end of the episode because I caught on then the first viewing. Like this if you also got those vibes

Fly on the Wall

I don't feel, and neither do the other characters on the show, that Klaus' punishment fit Hayley's crime. Hayley was in the wrong for trying to run off with Hope, but she was trying stop Hope from being collateral damage between Klaus and his psychotic aunt Dahlia. Klaus just decided to be Klaus and take it upon himself to remove what he perceives to be an obstacle in his way and make sure that Hayley and her pack were rendered helpless for 29 days out of the month. It's cruel and unusual punishment. I could maybe see it being justified if Klaus had it lifted as soon as Dahlia was no longer a problem, but it doesn't appear Klaus had any intention of reuniting his daughter with her mother and that is deeply troubling behavior. Yeah, Elijah's comprise is they would live across the street so he can theoretically hear and see Hope, but he cannot enter their home uninvited. I feel the worst for Hope in all this. It's not great for her earliest memories to be of these kinds of familiar conflicts.

Fly on the Wall

It must be a vampire thing. You see it a lot in these shows.

Fly on the Wall

This is to James. It posted in the wrong spot. Klaus turned the mother of his daughter into a near permanent werewolf for all of eternity. Stop trying to defend the indefensible. Instead of white knighting for Klaus when he does awful things, praise him when he does legitimately wonderful things. I never see you except when you try to act like Klaus is a saint. Unlike you, I’m not so one sided on these characters. I don’t hate Klaus at all, but I recognize for many years he had a dark side he could not control. Instead of trying to act like drowning the mayor in a fountain on Christmas is supposed to be a good thing when really it’s a terrible act you can acknowledge that he does bad things and then praise him when he does good things. It’s a novel concept. I know.
