Its weird that we kinda know the future because of Epitaph One. Lets see how we'll get there. Adele's true motivation is the biggest question mark so far.

BOO

I think the thing with Epitaph is that a lot of people didn't see it? I almost didn't but I stumbled across it before watching season 2. I could have easily missed it and just caught season 2 when it started airing

This is probably my favorite episode of season 2. Alan has intense Joker vibes this episode, I caught myself laughing at things that shouldn’t be funny, like when I first watched The Dark Knight. When I first watched the series I missed Epitaph so I had no idea if I was going to see Paul after this episode

One thing that Joss pointed out about Epitaph One was that we saw what happened through memories. And what do we know about memories? They can be unreliable. Before this season began, Joss said that the things in Epitaph One might not necessarily happen, especially in the way we saw them.

Wow, the emotions in this episode snuck up on me at the end because of Patton Oswalt's (Koenig's) IRL situation with his wife dying a few years ago. The parallels are too real. On a lighter note, this episode was responsible for Patton and Alan meeting for the first time, and apparently while filming Patton pitched an idea for the comic book single called "Flout Out" because he was a Firefly nerd and was DELIGHTED to meet and work with Alan Tudyk. You should read it; it's very fulfilling from a Firefly diehard fan perspective.
