I watched this show live every week, and I loved it. I was so shocked when it got canceled. I never even considered that would happen because it was one of the highest rated shows on the network back then, and it was nominated for a People's Choice Award, and I think a couple others. If they had given it a chance I think it would've ran for many seasons though. It just keeps getting better as the season continues, and I can imagine it would've got even better in the second season.

I'm not entirely sure why The Secret Circle got cancelled after only one season while Charmed was renewed. As a guess, Charmed had some advantages: the well-known and very popular Alyssa Milano plus the powerful Aaron Spelling production company behind it.

I like this show, yes I wasn't happy that it got cancelled. Need a second season or a tie it up. I've got the first book written by the same author as the vampire diaries.

I remember that this show received a big following & many were disappointed that it cancelled. It was probably similar situation as Firefly. Where everyone loved the show, but the production to continue was impossible at the time, so they had no choice but to cancel. I remember seeing many petitions for The Secret Circle.

What's really frustrating about this show getting cancelled is that a big part of the reason was because they put a lot of effort into their special effects and the CW decided it was too expensive to make, despite the fact that it was the 3rd highest rated show on the network the season it aired. Seriously, they couldn't just slash the effects budget and keep the show on the air? I would have gladly suffered cheesy effects for a couple more seasons of this show!

I really liked this show. Back when it aired originally I had 2 hours of great TV on a Friday - The Vampire Diaries followed immediately by The Secret Circle. Pity it didn't get renewed. One thing though - i think they could have done better with the male eye candy. All the girls are beautiful but the guys not so much..

I would love for you to continue this series at some point. Just based off how disappointed you are with the charmed reboot I think you would really enjoy the CWs attempt at another witch show that in my opinion is a perfect season of television. Even though it’s only one season the story feels complete at the end, I hope they reboot this show at some point.

I always forget that you reacted to the first two episodes of this show, and I'm always pleasantly surprised when I see them. I hope you eventually come back to finish this show as (even with it's unfortunate short run) it's still one of my favorites to this day.
