I love Black Mirror- If I had been Rudy you would have been watching either "Shut up and Dance", "White Bear", or "USS Callister".

Ritchie

This episode was a great metaphor for grief. And yes, Hayley was absolutely fantastic in it. I think the ending sort of symbolized how you tuck grief away into the corner of your mind but it's always there. And then when you miss that person, you "visit" the memory of them. Like the daughter did on her birthday, missing her father and wanting to "remember" what it's like with him. But she won't ever get the full experience of missing him since she never met the real thing, only through what other people know of him.

Take a drink 🥃, every time you say “this is so wrong.” Shan lol. I’m sorry this episode creeped you out and was emotionally so draining, I think that’s why I picked it though, cuz I wanted to see your reaction to a darker somber like show. I’m glad you liked Hayley Atwell’s performance she was amazing! Ritchie hit the hammer on the nail with grief and learning how to truly move on from death. Thank you for reacting to the episode!! ❤

The show is very interesting. Although each episode is its own story, they each have a running theme, that technology has become so advanced that people have come to rely on it for everything, to the point of being detached from humanity. It's scary to think that we're not too far off. I love Hayley! She's beautiful and very talented. She should have had more of a career. I would have loved to see more of Agent Carter. Shame it only lasted 2 seasons. But in this episode, she was brilliant. The ending was pretty weird and it kind of begs for a second part. There are better eps than this one but there are worse ones too.

The shows title refers to what the screens we surround ourselves with, TVs, phones, computers, look like when they are turned off... black mirrors.

Rachel Espiritu

I would absolutely love to see San Junipero tbh

"But you won't be able to move on!" ... "That'll put marzipan in your pie plate, bingo!"

Scarlett Monrow

Black Mirror is a good tv show if you like science and sociology and it deserves your time and reactions. But there are better episodes than this one: San Junipero, Nosedive, USS Callister.

Thomas Langerwerf

I would have chosen "The entire history of you"

Black Mirror is an amazing show. They are like little mini movies. However, I must warn you, do no binge watch it. Watch one episode, and let it digest. The aforementioned episodes are terrific. If you were to react to another, please, consider "San Junipero".

Thomas Hansen

I see a lot of people recommending San Juniperio and feel like I should say one thing.. While San Junipeiro is my favorite episode of BM by far, I think part of the impact of that particular episode comes from it being a respite from what at that point had become the "normal" Black Mirror episode. So I for one would not recommend watching that particular episode without having watched at least a couple other BM episodes first.

Todd “Canuck” Schmuck

I wouldn’t Recommend USS Callister as a starter episode. While the episodes are all separate stand alone stories, some of them benefit with already being familiar with some of the technology from previous stories, simply using it in related but new ways from previously, and Callister might be the best example of that. There’s a lot less to wrap your head around if you’ve seen “White Christmas” from season 2 already. “White Christmas” and “The Entire history of you” seem to come up the most, but you get small hints about other episodes tech coming up as well in less critical ways(some show up as Easter eggs, or early/later versions of tech seen previously). Long story short, anyone planning on watching more then 1 or 2 episodes out of order would be far better off starting with those 2 first. 🤔 Just my 2 cents anyway.

Melazond

It's a very uneven show. Some eps are haunting and brilliant others are trite and predictable. Thankfully you can bounce around.

NewStealth

Hey Shan, I'm usually a Buffyverse-reactions watcher but when I saw you test-reacting to a Black Mirror episode I had to watch. I enjoyed that. I really hope you watch more. Best part is it doesn't matter what order you watch them.

Will

Real downer of an episode. Very good, though. At least Shan didn't get S01E01 as her first episode. ;) I can't even imagine her reaction to that. Oh my. :D

Craig Evans

The craziest part about that episode was that it actually kinda came true!

He's rubbish. He doesn't slay vampires or tell knock-knock jokes.

Emma goldsbrough

This is my first time watched it, totally agree with totally creepy.
