lesson: don't mess with Klaus

peggin

Maybe it's just because I was already so irritated with Caroline and Stefan, but I came down a lot more on Tyler's side of things than you did. Normally, I wouldn't, because normally I like both Caroline and Stefan more than I like Tyler, but in this case, I agreed with him. Yes, Stefan did help him out after the Hunter shot him earlier in the season, but IMO any debt Tyler owed to Stefan for that evaporated when Stefan, Caroline, & Jeremy made a deal with Klaus to kill Tyler's friend. The fact that Stefan and Caroline were trying to force Tyler to put his own plans on hold so they could get a cure to "fix" someone who doesn't need fixing just really irritated me. Especially the part where Caroline is taking Stefan's side over her boyfriend's. I do completely agree with you about Caroline telling Stefan about Elena and Damon. Not only was it not Caroline's place to tell him, but just one day earlier, Elena had told Caroline she would tell Stefan everything, she just wanted a little time to figure out what the sire bond meant in terms of her feelings for both Damon and Stefan, and Caroline had promised her she wouldn't say anything. I don't care if she considers Stefan a better friend than Elena, you keep a promise like that, or you refuse to make it in the first place.

^^ "you keep a promise like that, or you refuse to make it in the first place" PREACH As for the Tyler vs Caroline/Stefan thing, I felt like I didn't really have a strong opinion on it either way. The hybrids (including Tyler) were basically slaves to Klaus, and he made it very clear he didn't give two shits about them. Obviously they wanted him dead, and obviously the longer they waited, the more chance he would discover what was going on and kill them. At the same time, Stefan and Caroline weren't saying never, they were saying not tonight, for the sake of Elena. On the one hand, Tyler is friends with Elena and should care about her. On the other hand, I get that he's also loyal to his pack, and to be honest, it must be a little frustrating that none of his friends care about their lives, particularly his GF. All that to say, I felt sad at the end of the episode but I'm pretty sure it was mostly an effect of the music lol. I didn't have a strong preference on who came out on top. Also - I think the reason Klaus didn't care about killing them was because he knew they were no longer sired to him and clearly didn't like him (see exhibit: the murder plot) so they could no longer serve as either his slaves or his "family". Remember, he didn't want to make hybrids just to have them in the world, but so that they could be his family and he wouldn't be alone anymore. I think this'll just mean he'll be even more desperate to get Elena human so he can make more.

I can feel absolutely no sympathy for Klaus and how he's alone - because he HAD a sister that was loyal to him, and he repeatedly verbally abused her, treated her like garbage and daggered her. The reason he is alone is because he's a giant asshole. I'm sticking with my girl Caroline on the Damon/Elena/Stefan issue. Damon in Caroline's mind has proven that he isn't sticking to his word and Stefan deserved to know that 5 mins after their breakup, Elena hooked up with his brother. On the Tyler issue... I'm Team Tyler on that one

Chantelle Miles

Klaus had no idea he was part of the sacrifice, Hayley just told him they were unsired & were against him with the help of Tyler, hes their alpha, even after killing them can see his disappointment since he just wants a family & unconditional love deep down....& Caroline lol

Mike Woodcock

Klaus has daddy-issues. His father was cold and abusive, and his mother enabled it. Then his sister messed up with the original hunters and Klaus had to bail her out, and then he had to pay for it with 50+ years of psychosis from the hunters curse.

Mike Woodcock

Most people would be as evil as Klaus after all that, but he just has the physical power to keep getting away with it.
