I think jeremy got his memory back when he died. They said that they were keeping them as bait for the other vampires.

I agree, Matt shares some of the blame. He shares it with Rebekah, with Meredith (if she's going to use vampire blood to heal someone, she needs to let them know so that they need to be extra cautious for the next day or so!), and with Stefan for choosing to follow Elena's wishes and save Matt instead of Elena. And Matt’s partially responsible not just because he's the reason Elena was even in that car instead of safe at home, but also because he was the one who was driving and he took his eyes off the road to get his phone. Maybe if he'd actually had his eyes on the road, he could have done something different. But, like you, I'm glad it happened, because Damon would be dead if it hadn't.

The thing with Elena and Rebekah is that I can see why each of them would hate the other and sympathize with each of them. The first time they met, Rebekah nearly tore Elena's throat out without any provocation. Because of that, I cheered Elena on when she daggered Rebekah, even while not really believing Rebekah deserved it at that time. But because Elena daggered her, I also totally understand why Rebekah would hate Elena. And even if she didn't hate Elena, I would still understand why she forced the car off the road -- the only thing that could stop Alaric was Elena's death, so even if Elena had never done anything to Rebekah, I would understand why Rebekah did it. But even though I understand why Rebekah did it, and even though I'm not angry with Rebekah for it, I still understand why Elena might hate Rebekah for it and I believe she has every right to feel that way.

by her own admission... they were on that bridge, because she was coming back to Stefan... which was one of her many idiotic choices she's made thus far. but the difference is... this choice is the one that killed her. she's clever enough to get out of most situations... but, there's not much ya can do in this situation. moreover... Stefan should have been able to grab what's his face with 1 hand, and elena with the other, saving them both. also; matt (now that i remember his name, was actually doing the only thing that made sense, get her out, so the originals won't find her, and Claus can't use her a blood bag. so ya, while Matt can be boring, he and Jeremy seem to be the only ones with brains in this show.

Just have to say start watching The Originals and react. Great show.

The Originals is fantastic . Love TVD and Damon is always my pick. Net him and he as cool in real life as the show. But Klaus and Elijah are so good to watch. Season 5 has Ros left and then The Originals are over but I loved every episode they did. Look forward to seeing you react. Also suggest The Walking Dead. That show sucks you in and you are hooked.

I love s4 of TVD

Matt should have just hit the brake and slammed into Rebecca. She wouldn't die and he and Elena would have been fine maybe with a few bruises
