Love this one. It is one of the ones I revisit most often whenever I just want to have a good time.

I love it too. Angel has fewer all out fun episodes than Buffy, but this is one of the fun as hell one offs that Angel did

I don't think this is a one off. This isn't the place to talk about why though. Regardless, I agree it's a great episode.

Re: The shop. Most of ours are pretty crowded, but that kind of place is a boutique for the seriously rich. They exist, or so I'm told.

The guy who wanted Angel at the cabin with the swami guy was the European business rival. He wanted Angel out of the picture so that he could kidnap the girl. The Girl's father wanted him there so he could protect her.

Guise: an external form, appearance, or manner of presentation, typically concealing the true nature of something. This title is a heckin good pun :D (Sorry to get all word-nerd on you!) I knew you'd love Angel-Wes! This is such a great Wes-centric ep. One of my favourites

Isn’t it amazing, that two characters you didn’t particularly like when you first met them on Buffy, you now love! The writers and producers are so talented!

As a whole, Angel is darker in tone than Buffy but it does still have some great comedic standalone episodes during it's run. I haven't seen season 2 for a long time so I'd forgotten how funny this episode was. And as for Angel's curse, I've always thought that there's now a big loophole, if he knows that he'll lose his soul should he attain perfect happiness, shouldn't that knowledge alone keep him from ever experiencing *perfect* happiness again no matter the circumstances? I get why he wouldn't want to risk testing it but it doesn't seem to even cross any of the characters minds.

Chris Peacock

You’re probably right about him knowing being enough to stop it, but you’re definitely right that he wouldn’t take the chance.

Having S5E7 Fool for Love and S2E7 Darla back to back next week will certainly be a treat. Can't wait for those reactions. Anyway, I love this episode for Wesley, it's so much fun. Angel as a show can do comedy really really well when it tries to.
