Great Reaction. As usual. I'm glad you liked the episode. Not everyone does. The fight between with the demons in this episode was a bit pitiful, given that it was treated as a fight to the death in the lead up. But that was okay for me, overall. You commented "why do you have a death wish?" when Dean was telling Bobby and Sam to go and he'd stay behind. This is something that some people overlook. I think he did, actually. I see the clues leading back to Season 1, and the Episode Faith. His life was saved at the cost of someone else's. And in that episode he was willing to let the Reaper take him to save the girls life, because he felt guilty that he was chosen over her, plus he felt that he should be dead anyway. I've always felt that experience underlies a lot of Dean's "issues" - and adds to his existing issues of lack of self worth. Then he was saved again when his dad sold his soul to save his life. Something that he has a hard time living with. Again, he was supposed to have died. Again, he feels that he shouldn't be alive. And several times during Season 2 he would let it out that he's "tired". That's a trigger word that is usually a sign that someone might be suicidal. But Dean would never actually kill himself. He doesn't just give up. But he would definitely put himself in harms way and be fine if he didn't come out the other end. I think all of this contributed to his decision to sell his soul for Sammy to be brought back. For one thing, Dean's self worth has been tied up into caring for Sammy his whole life. He just couldn't imagine living without him. And so what if he had to sell his soul to bring him back? That will finally solve another problem. He actually seems to feel relief over the whole thing. He's messed up, that's for sure. I also think he thinks he was going to go to hell anyway, so selling his soul was an easy price to pay. Since he has such a low opinion of himself, and given the life he's led. These are just my theories, but I've given them a lot of thought. Obviously! So now he does see a light at the end of his pain. He'll not have to live with the guilt for much longer and he'll be able to pay the debt he feels he owes. And these are thoughts I had at the time and are in no way connected to anything that has happened in future seasons. No spoilers. Maybe I'll be shown to be wrong in some ways, but this is what I can put together now.

'Sorry my previous comment was so long. It's something I always seem to feel the need to say. Anyway - did you notice how different the picture looked from previous season's? They went from using film to using digital. And they stopped washing out the color, so things look brighter and more colorful. That was something the studio kept pushing for (flashback to the one episode last season with Hollywood Babylon.

The reason Laurel (Katie Cassidy} is on Supernatural and the Queen mansion (Luthor mansion) aka Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters "X-Men" is because they all shoot in Canada. All the CW shows recycle the same actors.

Michele

I wouldn't use the term "recycle". I do think that it helps them get the jobs on other CW shows because they are already known. Easier to choose from a pool of people you already know the abilities of. The time difference between Supernatural Season 3 and beginning of Arrow is a bit of a gap too.
