Awesome reaction. Funny 3D glasses lol. Finally, the 2 greatest monsters in the Doctor Who universe together at last. Enjoy the finale.

Stargazer1682

Oops, I didn't mean "I was Made to Love You," I meant "Some Assembly Required." I mixed the titles up, because I was thinking about the play on words of the titles and that seemed like the right title for the Frankenstein episode.... 🤷‍♂️

I understand Jackie's argument about Rose changing. I don't know that I necessarily agree, at least not entirely, but I think a good point of comparison would be Cassandra ("Moisturize me! Moisturize me!"). She was fully human, but nipped and tucked herself into being a brain in a jar with a bit of flesh stretched over a frame. She was still technically Cassandra, but she lost the fundamental aspects of her humanity a long way back - assuming she ever had it. Is that necessarily what would happen with Rose if she continued traveling with the Doctor indefinitely? Maybe not the stretched flesh part (ha - phrasing 😏 ) but there is some legitimacy to Jackie's concern about what happens to Rose long term. Does Rose become more like the Doctor? On the face of it, that wouldn't seem like a bad thing; overall he's a good person, but he has his faults. He's seen too much, he's done too much, and he can never stay in one place for long. It's hard for him to keep long term attachments, because like told Rose in "School Reunion," "I don't age. I regenerate. But humans decay. You wither and you die....You can spend the rest of your life with me, but I can't spend the rest of mine with you. I have to live on. Alone." The Doctor can be very closed off - case in point, never mentioning previously that he had been a dad at one time in his life. There's a reason the Doctor always has a companion, he needs someone to anchor him, provide an objective perspective. If Rose becomes more like him, not only does he lose that, so does she; and that's what Jackie's worried about.

I remember watching this episode with dread, when it first aired, after Rose said "this is the story of how I died", because I had grown fond of her and I wasn't ready to say goodbye! But anyway I love the idea of Torchwood, because it's a trope that I like, a top secret organisation investigating the alien and supernatural, like in Buffy and Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. I don't know why I just think it's really cool. What do you guys think?

Cybermen and Daleks, wow. Next episode should be exciting. Not sure I liked the narration Rose gave at the beginning. I was surprised to see Mickey again, I thought he got written off the show. Kewl episode.

This was a good episode, the Daleks and the Cybermen, that seems like a problem. I was shocked when Mickey turned around, that was a surprise. That opening narration put me on edge, I like Rose, what do you mean this is the day you died, excuse me, no thanks.
