Patrick - Excelsior

Even if it came out that Trish was the vigilante, highly unlikely they would get a conviction. With the psycho proven to be a serial killer and a temporary insanity defense due to seeing him kill her mother. It would only take one Patsy fan on the jury to set her free. In criminal trials the jury MUST vote unanimous to convict. The morality of killing the psycho is tricky. I feel if they had done it at that in room right after Trish fucked him up, would be easier. Its in the heat of the moment and since you KNOW he will kill again, you can make a defense of others argument. Doing it a day later would be much harder to defend morally and impossible to defend legally. I’m not saying it might not be necessary but still much harder to justify. I feel they have used sex appeal shots on a few characters in this show. Multiple times they have shown Jessica in her underwear and well as Luke Cage. Making a ‘trust’ deal with a serial killer is just stupid. I get why she did it. She couldn’t sacrifice Trish and refuses to become a killer. She killed Killgrave but that was in the heat of the moment and in immediate defense of others. Killing someone to prevent someone you know from going to jail is not legally justified, its also not morally justified. The right thing here would be to let the evidence stay, and hope Trish doesn’t get convicted or gets off with a lenient sentence. But Jessica doesn’t have faith in the justice system. Plus there is the legal ramifications of everyone finding out she is the vigilante, although I’m not sure what provable crimes she has committed other than breaking into Hogarth’s offices. Jessica tells Erik not to show his face to the cop he blackmailed but then she does, WTH kind of logic is that? She is FAR more recognizable, which proves to be true as the cop instantly recognizes her. Now she is going to have a dirty cop with a vendetta against her. And then Erik shows his face anyways. Stupid. Well, that’s a horrible backstory for Erik. But he was right in what he did. He should have talked to his sister first, and his mother, but in the end the father had to be stopped. Yep, Power Ranger could of just quit, but no, he has to give Hogarth the video showing Trish break in, why? Hell, if he wanted to tell Hogarth he knew the vigilante was stealing information, he could have just said it. Stupid. Now we have to see how evil Hogarth is. Knowing what happened to Trishes mom, does she still go after Trish for her own selfish need for revenge or accept that Trish has been punished enough. Jessica being investigated for beating cop to death (see my comments about Jessica showing her face to cop to begin with) I repeat, stupid! Lots of stupid this episode. But still, I liked the episode.
