This was the first episode that didn't end on some kind of incredibly tense, dramatic moment and reveal. But it was still a good episode, mostly dealing with the fallout of the information we learned 2 episodes ago and everyone's reaction as well as learning about Maria's mom. It's interesting Maria's mom seems like she definitely has dementia or alzheimer's but the doctors supposedly say she doesn't have either, that's interesting. Noah feels guilty for abandoning Isobel when she needed him, but to be fair he said he had to deal with a parent who was an alcoholic and thinking he as to deal with it again can't be easy, also Isobel wasn't asking for help or being honest. Usually in that case the best thing to do would be to walk away, because sometimes they need to hit rock bottom, in order to want to get help. Making the weapon was conflicting, Liz is making it because she's angry and wants vengeance, but also because Isobel is dangerous and what are we going to do to stop her, because Max and MIchael's choice would seem to be just cover it up and let people die...man, they covered up the death of 3 girls, that was a really bad decision...anyway. So Liz wasn't exactly wrong, also she wasn't just immediately using it on her, which she could have if she just wanted revenge. I also get why Liz then decided to destroy it, doing what she does in her life, generally you don't want to make things designed to hurt people, but Max wanting her to keep it also makes sense, again, Isobel is dangerous and he makes terrible decisions when it comes to protecting his family. Isobel, when she realized what she had done, decided to lock herself up and try to stop herself from hurting people, as well as maybe having the stuff used on her, if necessary in case she's to dangerous, already making better decisions than Max or Michael would have. SIde notes, I liked that unexpected moment when Michael was comforting Maria after her decision to put her mother in a care home, also liked that little touch of the camera panning over the tattoo that represents Cam's sister on her arm, before she made her decision to give Mane's information and the Dark Willow comment.

So after last week's episode, I just had to know what happened next. So, I went ahead and binge-watched all four seasons on Netflix. And let me tell you, the show was so freaking good! I mean, I remember trying to watch it when it first came out, but I only made it through the first couple of episodes before losing interest. I haven't seen the original show, and I couldn't stop picturing Max as Jackson and Kyle as Tyler from the TVD universe. I hated those characters so much! But now, I'm totally in love with the show and can't wait to see your reactions to it. I might even go back and watch your reactions to the original Roswell just to see how different they are.

So I googled this during 1x06 after you asked "Who do you think is the bottom and who do you think is the top" in regards to Michael and Alex since I didn't know if that question was appropriate or not to answer to even ask ...I dunno ...I didn't feel like offending anyone that day I suppose ....Turns out there's a somewhat split opinion when it comes to asking such a question as SOME. LGBTQ+ people consider it to be private or offensive which I can totally understand ...You don't go up to straight people either and ask them questions about their preferences when it comes to sex either ...Unless you know the person and they're not just some random guy or girl you meet outside it just not a normal thing to do ...I dunno ...I'm SURE. you could ask one of your LGBTQ+ friends there what THEY. think about the question you asked if you were interested in finding out ....But yeah the internet is divided on it and so I'd rather not speculate on an answer in an open forum 2. You about Michael: "Has he had a mangled hand all throughout and I just didn't realise?" ....No worries Froots ...It's BARELY shown and it's not gruesome or anything ..But yeah ...It was established before 1x06 that Michael's hand looked a bit busted ...I think it's only been a quick shot here or there of his hand and wasn't yet addressed until 1x06 so it's easy to miss... The actor does a fine job too of making sure that when his hand DOES. appear in the shot ..He makes it look like the injury is real (No.. It's not ACTUALLY. real ..The actor is fine) ...I also think he's often shown to wear a scarf or bandana over his hand or something to cover it up so it makes it more difficult to spot 4. Ah ok... So there ARE. records of Max having been shot ...He DID. nope out of the hospital but he's STILL. going to have to undergo a hearing to determine what caused the shooting ....Continuity ...Good 5. Yeah Alex is telling Liz she's been a bad friend and how sometimes she needs to be there for others ...But that kind of advice doesn't really work for him when he doesn't even know what Liz has been going through ...I suppose it was a way for the story to have Liz go see Maria ...But it was an odd choice ...Especially when it comes from Alex who ...I don't think has had much of ANY. scenes with Liz so far 6. So Wyatt (the guy who kidnapped Liz and shot Max) apparently also has gaps in his memory ...Could it be that Isobel is controlling people when she "blacks out"? 7. Yeah I don't understand people sticking their fries into their milkshakes ...How low are you on tomato sauce or anything that you have to resort to sticking your greasy salt covered fries into your drink? ....Enjoy your salty milkshake you fucking weirdos 8. Liz: "Your mum seems fine" ...Maria: "Yeah.. She's not at all worried about the impending alien invasion ..She knows Will Smith will save us" ....Yeah no worries ...Will Smith will slap those aliens in the face and tell them to keep his damn planet out their fucking sight 9. You: "I get what she's saying but she's coming from anger" ...I meeeeaaaan... Liz has a point ..She's apparently making a "weapon" to use against Isobel ...I understand why Max would be upset and I don't blame him ...But it'd be a good idea to have a defense against alien powers just in case ...It's partially anger that Liz is speaking from ...But she's not wrong 10. Nah don't worry Isobel ...You won't be going "Dark Willow" any time soon ...So far nobody has accidentally shot Noah yet ...You, him and his shirt are fine 11. Correct... They DON'T know if the serum works ..BUT.. That's why Liz has samples of Max's blood ...There's enough of it to throw under a microscope and perhaps figure out if the serum has some sort of reaction to the blood that would look like it wouldn't be harmful ...I don't understand the science behind it ...But you don't immediately NEED. a test subject to test these things out ..That's probably a phase further down the road IF. the story progresses that far
