One more to go, no matter how many times I've watched this show, it's still always sad to get to the end. A few years ago I started watching reactors, your video announcing you would react to SG-1 was recommended to me by YouTube. I had never heard of you before but the video of you humming the theme song in melody with yourself made me laugh. I checked out your YouTube channel & saw you watched Agents Of Shield, The Arrowverse, Firefly & some other shows I liked, far more than any other reactor I had seen at the time & I said hell this looks like a place I should be. I started watching your AOS & Arrowverse reactions while waiting for Stargate to start. During the season 2 reactions I jumped on board the patreon & haven't regretted it yet. Over these past few years you have brought smiles & laughter to my usual not so pleasant life watching you laugh, enjoy & nerd out over stuff, so for that I want to give you a huge thank you. The SG-1 ride at the ASR Amusement park may be coming to an end, but there's still plenty of rides left. It's about time I get caught up up on the Arrowverse reactions, sadly I got too busy & haven't been able to continue on past Crisis, so it's time for me to try to get back to those. I know you've been having more days where your mental health is bad. I Have a different situation, but I still know that feeling. I truly wish the best for you & hope you feel a lot better. Sorry for the short story, but you said you wanted a lot of comments to read for the finale & since I found you through SG-1, it seemed fitting to use the end of the show to let you know your videos have been a big positive in my life & I hope that gives you back some positivity that you have been a positive force for others

This is the nineteenth episode of the tenth season of Stargate SG-1 (1997). It shares its title with the nineteenth episode of the tenth season of Smallville (2001): Dominion (2011). An OK episode. Not great but not bad. Definitely an episode from a mostly episodic show. It somewhat closed some storylines while leaving room for future use of bad guys (if needed). They did still leave the threat of the Ori army in our galaxy. I think they could have made more use of the Vala/Adria relationship. There was room there for some heartfelt moments that they just brushed off. Especially if they had not done the previous episode and used that time to make this story longer. A wasted opportunity in my opinion. But as I said, still an OK episode. As for the season. I like the Ori as a villain, Adria is just an extension of them but with an emotional (or potential emotional extension which they barely used). I am glad they replaced the Goa’uld as villains, I wouldn’t have liked seeing them as the only villains for 10 seasons. It appears they closed the doors on the Ba’al clones ( I think). Those were ok, funny at times villainous at other. The actor did a good job playing the various Ba’als (RIP my dude). For the series. Loved it. Great series. From my point of view, very like Star Trek, just used different means to explore the galaxy. And did it in a way we didn’t have to be all futuristic. I know you have a very limited exposure to the Star Trek universe, but since you are not a fan of “space shippy shows”, I don’t know if its worth trying too do much more. But who knows, I may decide you need to see just a couple episodes of the Kirk, Spock, and McCoy team. Oh wait, never mind...Paramount. I get why they made the Jaffa so lame in the last few seasons but I still don’t like it. I feel that the writers could have found a better way to take them out as a benefit to Earth. Having them around as allies makes it harder to write in danger situations in many cases. They, like the Asgardians, needed to be “unavailable’. I don’t even have an issue with the Jaffa constantly fighting each other. That part makes sense, they have been fighting other Jaffa for generations. So, I get the Jaffa not trusting other tribes. But Jaffa constantly chasing other “gods” to worship doesn’t. You would think it would be the opposite. Either have them think the Goa’uld are still there and worshipping them from afar could have worked. But just dumping the Goa’uld to worship the Ori or whatever god-of-the-week that comes along just makes them look weak and stupid. I liked the growth of the characters over the series although we didn’t see much of this with Danial, Teal’c and Carter since Vala and Cam came into the show. Seemed like all the character growth focused on them. I like the introduction of Vala and Cam but the shows still needed Jack’s humor. That was a favorite of mine. The show always seems to lack something without him. Again, I love the entire series but my favorite seasons are still in the first half. Thank you Shan for reacting to this. I KNOW it hasn’t been easy (whew). So the extra effort is greatly appreciated.

Stargate sg-1 is one of my top favorite scifi shows , i love the characters , the stories and above all the humor it has , like many ( long running ) shows it has it's bad and good episodes , it's a classic

I was so glad Vala's memories were all fake. Watching the flashbacks, I couldn't help but feel bad for Vala. Technically, none of the character's behaviour in those fake memories were so extreme that you couldn't believe it was real. It was just disappointing to see them dismiss her and not stick up for her.

I enjoyed the Ori saga. I understand we've had different major villains throughout the whole series but it's always been one Goa'uld replacing another for 8 seasons. So importing a new villain from a different galaxy has really felt like a breath of fresh air. My thoughts on the series as a whole: One of the things I love about Stargate is the sense of adventure I feel from this show. From the moment the team first steps through that gate, we don't know what new world, new culture, new friends, new enemies, hidden mysteries and plot twists await us. Perhaps one of my biggest criticisms of the later seasons (including the Ori saga) is that we don't see these types of episodes as much anymore. These were much more popular during the earlier seasons of Stargate. (For example, the time the team got sent to a prison world and unknowingly worked with an innocent looking granny to escape only to later realise the psycho granny was actually the worst one in there. OR the time the team first stumbled onto a planet that worshipped the Asgard only to later on down the road actually encounter a real life Asgard (Thor) and form a relationship with them. Perhaps an unpopular opinion but it needs to be said: The alliance of the "four great races" is overrated. Throughout the whole show, we mostly only dealt with the Asgard's or Ancient's lore. WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE NOX AT? We saw them in like a couple of episodes in the early seasons and that's it. Do I need to even say anything about the Furlings? Can we all admit they were just a meme and never existed? In terms of the characters, I like them all, especially the OGs. (Mitchel is probably the least likeable to me (I don't hate or dislike him), I just think he's the least interesting and kinda vanilla in terms of personality). In fact, that's probably the saddest thing about saying goodbye to the show: it's saying goodbye to these characters. It's not so much about the plot or adventures of the show you will miss the most, it's the characters. Last but not least, I would be remiss not to mention my lovely and precious Daniel and Vala ship. Never did I believe I would ship a couple on Stargate of all shows. I want, no I DEMAND, they be endgame.

>>> !!!FOR SHANNAN!!! <<< 1. You: "I think this might be the longest show I've reacted to ...No... That was Supernatural" ...Yip ...I suppose one COULD argue that the entire Gateverse combined is 17 Seasons long ...But if we're counting verses you've watched then nothing can compete with the Arrowverse which is roughly 40+ Seasons in length 2. Ok ...Come on TV show ...How INSANELY. convenient could it be that you could put an infinity symbol over a tablet horizontically AND. vertically and be able to get 2 gate addresses out of it?? ...This is either the LAMEST. way to introduce a "puzzle solve" element to the story ...OR... It was CLEARLY. the WORST. way to try and trick Adria into thinking Vala had been booted out of the SGC 3. And to top it off ...After Vala gets shut down for the 2nd time ...Not even Daniel is willing to support her?!? ...We've come a long way since the start of Season 9 ...If ANYONE. were to believe in her ...It WOULD. be Daniel and there'd be ZERO. way he'd be onboard with having her be confined to Area 51 ...Man ...Adria is some kinda stupid for believing this horrible attempt at catching her 4. Poor Vala ...The thought of the SGC betraying her ...People losing their lives in order to find out if her dreams were real and not just planted images by Adria ...But worst of all ...Finding out that Dancing With The Stars is ACTUALLY. a real TV show ...She's gonna need a lifetime worth of therapy after this 5. Soooooo... Adria's necklace DOESN'T shield her from getting implanted with a symbiote? ...Aight ...I guess it's not as powerful as the shield we saw McKay wearing in Atlantis 1x03 then ....Ancients: 1 / Ori: 0 6. Yeah Froots ...It's pretty easy for Ba'al to have all the information SG-1 has ...He's a god after all ..And he's said before that gods are all knowing ....But in all seriousness ...Ba'al is said to still have operatives on Earth working for him feeding him intel ...Perhaps (hopefully) not inside the SGC itself ..But 1 or 2 people here or there in places connected to the SGC will probably provide him with all the information he needs ...Since as we know ...Security at the SGC (and things connected to it) isn't all that good 7. Alright... Sure ...Back in the episode where Daniel returned as a Prior ...It was Daniel who cloaked the Odyssey ...It was stated the Odyssey DIDN'T possess that technology and as far as we know we also didn't develop it in the last few episodes since in later episodes we saw the Odyssey again ..Meaning whatever Daniel had done with his powers to make the ship invisible had faded / stopped working ....Yet here we are ...They just casually said the Odyssey was cloaked while near Ba'als ship ...Sooooooo... What? ....The Odyssey has cloaking technology now? 8. Yeeeeeeeaaah... This is all a bit sudden and seems like it was written in for the sake of convenience ...We've basically cut ties with the Tok'ra last season after the whole incident with them and the Free Jaffa Nation ...After that we haven't really heard from them until now ...All of a sudden Carter says we've been in contact with them since the Ori ships first arrived ...Sure... Whatever 9. Ba'al in Adria's body (Bad'ria??): "My whole plan was to order the Ori army back out of this galaxy" ....Yeah... Sure dude ...AS. IF. you wouldn't take the opportunity to seize control over this galaxy with what's basically an unstoppable army 10. Soooooo... Who do you think is telling the truth Froots?? Adria is saying the Ori are still very much alive ...Whereas Ba'al is saying he can read Adria's mind and tell the Ori are dead ...What's the real truth? It's difficult to tell since neither of them can be trusted.. Place your bets ...Not that it matters much ...There's still a bunch of religious fanatics who will fight for their beliefs either way 11. This is weird ...I'm fairly certain it's MUCH. easier for the Tok'ra to extract a symbiote from a host ...Yet here we are ...They're wearing Earth style surgeon outfits ...It's like they're acting like they're not even Tok'ra ...It doesn't make sense visually and storywise speaking ....This "Tok'ra" dude might aswell be a surgeon from Earth who is using a voice modulator cause he thought it would make him sound cool 12. How did Ba'al release a toxin into Adria's body you ask?? ..Well aside from it being plot convenience ..I can only imagine the symbiote had his own little equivalent of a cyanide pill on him ...It carried it in a tiny balloon shoved up his symbiote butt and smuggled it into Adria's body like he was trynna get through airport security 13. Sooooo... Adria just ascended ...Here's a question ...Are the Ancients just going to LET. her?? ...Do they not care?? Why are they allowing this?? 14. You when Adria ascends: "You don't typically see them ascend.. Do you? I don't think so" ...What do you mean? ...We saw the monk at Kheb ascend ...We saw Daniel ascend ..We saw Orlin ascend after he first stalked Carter ...We've seen a bunch of people ascend on Atlantis in that episode where Sheppard got stuck on some planet with a bunch of people with powers ...What's weird about this scene is that we only saw Vala looking towards some glowing light ...They kinda cheaped out on this scene with not having us ACTUALLY see Adria ascend ...But nonetheless the look on Vala's face an the music playing DID. still make the scene pretty epic 15. So this is where the notes end for SG-1 ...I don't really care to make notes when I won't see them being read out ...But regardless whether or not we continue the Gateverse after this given all the shit we've been dealing with ...It's been a fun ride ...IF. you continue these recordings ..I'll be here for it ...IF. you don't continue ..I hope that perhaps we can still somehow finish this together ..It would be a shame to have come so far ..I would personally like to be able to talk about these shows with my bestie ...Whether it be through notes or through voice ...Either way is fine with me 16. That said ...Lets dial the SGC gate one last time ...Froots ..You have a go ...Lets see what mysteries lie at the other side of this gate (You: indeed)
