You're right about the museum looking like a school. To save money they booked the school where they shot Mitchell's reunion for 2 weeks & dressed it up as a museum for this episode There was a lot more of the soap opera drama which was supposed to build up to Daniel yelling at them to shut up, but the episode was too long so it was cut for time since it wasn't needed

Froots ...Given that as I said we're NOT. getting a new show in 2025 and adding the fact that you'll be ending the current Gateverse roughly in the middle of July 2025 ...I say roughly cause there's bound to be unforeseen circumstances ...There's ZERO. way a potential new Stargate show will line up with that timeframe... The most likely outcome would be at LEAST. a full year gap between the end of the current Gateverse (ending with Stargate Universe Season 2) and the start of whatever a potential next series might be (if any) ...Nah Froots ...This time next year ...We'll likely have moved on to another franchise 2. Side note... According to Gateworld.. Which in my opinion is the number one source for anything Stargate related.. Michael Shanks said in a interview that they found out while filming THIS. episode (10x16) that the show was getting cancelled ....This contradicts an earlier statement that they found out during the filming of the 200th episode .....However it's not the only contradicting bit of information to be found regarding 10x16 ..More on that in a moment 3. HA! You're so easily amused ...Mention the word cartouche (car-toosh) and you start laughing ....Is it cause of how it has toosh in it? ..Which is slang for butt 4. Aaaaand on to the 2nd bit of contradictory information ...The Stargate fan wiki claims the reason that Carter wasn't in this episode was cause Amanda was apparently filming scenes for Atlantis 3x08 "McKay And Mrs. Miller" ....This doesn't make any damn sense since 3x08 aired 8 months before THIS. episode (although this episode did air in the UK 3 months before it aired on Syfy) .....So maybe they were shooting a BUNCH. of episodes at the same time? ...But I feel an 8 episode gap between shooting scenes for SG-1 10x16 and Atlantis 3x08 is a bit much ...I'm inclined to believe they were a bit more in sync with shooting their episodes 5. You when Teal'c and Mitchell enter the hallway: "Does this look like a school to you?" ....You're not wrong ..In fact it's almost like we saw this place in the previous episode ...Like ...Inside Mitchell's old high school perhaps? ...Good eye Froots ...And shame on the producers for re-using the same hallway set so closely after one another ...It kinda breaks the immersion a bit ...Buuuuuttt it's not exactly unheard of for TV shows to use the same set multiple times ...I mean... Given that a lot of "village" scenes during SG-1 and Atlantis are just the same set but shot at different angles ...I'm sure others shows (and movies) do it too 6. Mitchell is unable to use the DHD... You: "Did someone spill some Pepsi on there and get it jammed?" .....It was you.. Wasn't it Froots? ...You klutz 7. So I guess we now know what the buttons on the DHD prop does when you lift the prop off the ground ...Those "buttons" are really just some plexiglass plates and will just fall right off 8. PLEASE... For the love of everything ...Can someone use a duckgun and shoot the lady who seems to think squealing like a pig is gonna help during this hostage situation!? ....Bish is hiding under the table fucking shouting her lungs out and I just want to shoot her ...Repeatedly ...Like... What exactly makes people think making annoying high pitched noises is gonna do in dangerous situations? ....Stay.. Your ass.. CALM!!! Panicking does NOTHING. to help the situation! ...Anyways ...Continue 9. Y'know ...This whole episode is based on the premise that a team can get stuck on the other side cause the DHD doesn't function (or is just a fake) ...The solution to this is very simple ...Given that we know the SGC always sends a MALP before going to a planet (to test if they CAN. even go there) ...EVERY. MALP should be equiped with a portable naquadah generator and a laptop with a dialing program on it so that in the event a team gets stuck due to a faulty DHD ..They CAN. just dial anyways ....NONE. of this would've happened if the SGC was a bit more smart about the way they do shit ...And sure ...Maybe sending a portable naquadah generator would be a breach of security ...Here's an addition to my proposal ...After an SG team has gone through ...Check in with said team roughly 15 minutes after they've left to check on them and see if they can in fact come back without help ...I dunno... It's not that hard ...But then again we wouldn't have this episode if the SGC was doing things the smart way 10. I love how Daniel gets mad at 2 of the hostages and tells them off for not behaving like proper hostages ...The line he delivers there about how there's a whole school of etiquette to this ...I'm fairly certain I quoted it once in a note to some other show ..I ofcourse didn't mention who said it ...Sadly can't seem to find it though ...But anyhoo ...I love Daniel in this episode ...And Vala has some funny one liners too ..In fact they all do ...Just one thing that bothers me about the episode ...We're getting to the end of the show ...Do we have time for this? 11. Yeah apparently this museum's gateroom had a few side entrances?? ...Cause how in the hell did those guards show up behind SG-1 ....They either took a side entrance into the room or they went through a plothole 12. Can't relate with what Mitchell said there ...When he first found out there were aliens out there and other worlds ..He was afraid ..Afraid that they might come to Earth and kill everyone ....I'm the exact opposite ...I would be hyped as shit to find proof of life out there and would LOVE. for them to come to Earth ...Cause I don't buy into the "every alien is evil" bullshit ...I'm CONVINCED. there's life out there ...And I'm also CONVINCED. that IF. they were evil ...We'd ALREADY. be dead 13. To continue on that note one COULD. say maybe they haven't found us yet ...And to that I'd say how could they not have? ...In my life I've seen 2 unexplained objects in the sky and there's PLENTY. of people who have also seen things they can't explain ...Life EXISTS. out there.. You can't tell me otherwise ...And they know we're here too ...And IF. they were evil ..They would have killed us from orbit a long time ago without us ever being able to do anything about it ....THAT. ...OR... There's also a group of GOOD. aliens who prevent that sort of thing from happening ....Either way ...I don't relate to what Mitchell said ...I would be very open to meeting some aliens 14. I'm glad you liked the episode ...I honestly feared you wouldn't ...NOT. cause you might not have considered it funny ...But since we're so close to the end of the show ...I ask again ...Do we really have time to deal with filler episodes?
