I don't think anyone that has watched your reactions thought, even for a second, that you would like this final story arc. Amnesia! Overall, a good series. Peggin and PrincessSparkleBanana got me watching this show Waaaay back in the Rabbit movie sharing days. I'm with you on the ending, A pet pewee of mine is movies/shows closing without tying up loose ends or having no real 'definitive' ending at all. Just an idea for Youtube cut: Right before you stop, pretend you hit you head, look around like you don't know what's going on, why there is a camera pointed at you, Say "This is weird.", get up and walk off cam. Leave the cam on wall for a minute, then just have ASR music title card come on and just end it there.

I am in the minority here, I suppose, but I love the ending. A 9.1 on IMDB too. It's abit bittersweet and I would have preferred Sarah not really losing her memories at all, but with the story they went with, I think it's great. The callbacks to the pilot, the Jeffster concert and the touching moments between the characters are all incredible. Rewatching the ending obviously makes for a way more nuanced take, and emotionally speaking it's quite common I think not to like where they went with it. Anyway, that wraps up my favourite show of all time. Now, my second favourite, Person of Interest, can shine for a little while longer.

I just want to add: I know it's actually ambiguous, but in my mind it really isn't. The signs were all there. She remember the wienerlicious and she remembered the porn virus from the pilot. She might not remember everything from that kiss, but she will remember everything with time. Then on rewatches, it's just Chuck telling Sarah their story up until the final moments again. I struggled with the ending on a first watch, but it also helps reading what some of the people working on the show said about the ending. And they all essentially say: "Of course she remembers".

My reaction wasn't far off from yours the first time I watched this. I did overall like a lot of things about this final season and the series finale. I liked that they brought back Mark Pellegrino as the Fulcrum agent from season 2, that they made so many references to moments from the series in the finale. I liked Jeffster, I liked the ending for pretty much everyone. But I really didn't like the amnesia storyline and I didn't like the ending for that, I know a lot of people have come around to the ending and like it now, but I just can't. I don't want an ambiguous ending or an ending where you know, what more than likely happened, probably. I want to actually have, the ending and see her get her memories back. That's why I keep hoping they'll do the movie that Zachary Levi is trying to get made, so that we can see her with her memories back and I can finally be alright with this finale.
