Part of my practice to learn some basic animation. Made in Flipnote studio for the 3DS. This is the first one I've exported so far in a GIF format.

This app really comes in handy, being able to paint directly on the screen makes everything feel more natural. I just wish it had pressure sensitivity and a bigger screen, but hey, at least it's something!

I've also been thinking about  using this rough animations to polish them and make something more detailed, we'll see how that ends up.

This is a good tool to make basic rough animations that can later be made into something more smooth and detailed elsewhere. I like this idea of yours.

It doesn't look like 3DS is the best drawing platform, tbh But is that art studio on Wii U any good, do you know? I'm curious what you can do on there

What I tried to do with a couple of those was to clean it in the same app, once I got the movement redraw the panel with extra details. It wasn't until now that I decided to export them and show them to you. I like using the 3DS for it because I can do some animations while I give the computer a rest, that way I'm not wasting any time.

I haven't tried that one because it implies having the TV and the Wii U console while using it, I could as well use the computer instead. With the 3DS I can be sketching something at any given time, even on my bed at 2 in the morning, I just grab my console and start doodling, It's not the best tool for drawing, but I'm using it to learn the basics about movement on animated characters. I can take this sketchy animations, and clean them to make something better. I still need to try it with one of them though.
