Based on one of the Tabby sketches I presented in October, I have a new piece for you guys :)

It surprised me how long has been since the last time I drew Tabby in her usual form. A lot has changed in her design since that, and of course I've changed and improved as well, So I decided it was about time to do something new and awesome involving her.

You can see the process of this picture compressed in a GIF here: Link

And you can also give your opinion about a small, but key aspect in her design here: Link

I'm interested to hear what you have to say about it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While doing this I started asking to myself what people like about my style in general, and those are questions that I would like you to help me answer :)

  • What would you say is your favorite thing about my style?
  • What brought you to my gallery in first place?
  • What kind of things would you like to see me work more often?
  • What feature in my art style, comics, humor, etc would you would say I lost and you would like to see return?

Feel free to give your impression on the topic if you like to participate, if you don't want that's okay too :)  as always, looking for new ways to improve my content for you, thanks for your support, and I'll see you in the next update :D

Oh, Tabatha. She keeps getting cuter every time. Well done on this one, but you could improve the way you draw nails. Her neck and hand could also use slight improvements. But to answer some of your questions: 1: The thing I like most about your style is your coloring and your use of light. 2: I don't fully remember what brought me to you at first, but I Think Tabby here and her family played a role in it. 3: I don't have a preference to what I would like to see you draw. I enjoy almost all of it. 4: I wouldn't say that you "lost" anything, so to speak, as your talents kept growing, but I have noticed that you do not draw as much fanservicey stuff as you used to back in the day, such as when Tabby and the likes would go to the beach. That doesn't Always have to be a bad thing as trying new things allowed you to grow so much as an artist and sharpen your skills to a great degree, but I do wonder how your new skills would be implemented to such lewder arts. Maybe one day you could revisit one of those more explict pieces and see how they could be improved with your current and improved abilites. Like one of those Before/After-memes.

What do I like about your work? I've told you a few things, but what comes to mind at this moment is how professional it looks, and how you have your own style that is still anime but not directly lifted from any one source. This Tabby is just right. :3 Not to sexy, not to cute.

I decided to ask you directly before and based on that I wrote this series of questions :) That's interesting, was it you the one that asked me back then which author style I picked? I answered "not anyone in particular, I just picked the features that I like from several authors and implemented them in my style" If I like the way the shade eyes, I try it to see how it looks and so on. Thanks for your comment, I always try to work my pieces the best I can so I can feel comfortable putting my name on it :) You wouldn't like a half done piece be the first thing you see from me XD Of course I'm not perfect at all, but I try to do the best I can at that moment, and that's why I can appreciate even my crappy old drawings. Not perfect, but made with lots of sincere effort

About the nails, I tried to go for a more simplistic style of drawing them, kinda like this when you don't actually see the nail but is just suggested:avvesione.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/hanayamata-09-sari-teacher-happy-peace_sign-victory-blush.jpg I guess I could have painted her nails, maybe I'll do it next time. Right now I'm focusing on improving a very crucial part in human drawings, which is gesture and expression. I'm trying to make more drawing more dinamic and pleasant to look at, I've been thinking about showing you guys my daily skecth session, But I have to find a way to do it without overloading patreon with practice sketches, I have to find a way to share everythign but at the viewer discression (like said if you are actually interested you can see it, if not you don't get spammed with sketchy content) Okay about the hands and neck, if you could pick one of those features to improve first which one would it be? Lemme know so I can make a deliberate effort to improve that first and move to the next step. ATM I'm trying to force myself to draw things that I avoid and trying to gain confidence to do like complicated hand gesture, but you have to understand that I have to reach a hand to eye coordination, I can see some details I can improve, but sometimes by doign "wrong" you actually learn because you gain a better understanding the next time you do it (you see the thing that you did wrong and try it differently) Also, if you happen to see an example of that thing that I'm trying to do, done correctly, share it with me so I can compare and see what I did wrong :) (and sorry for not giving any space to this text, but ever time I press enter it sends the message and it doesn't let me give spaces XD)
