A couple of changes to the process and WIPs format guys. First of all, the WIPs are the ones that are going to be numbered according to the month. Depending on the time it takes me to finish the piece, you might get the digital sketch, the coloring, or maybe more. Their function is to keep you informed on the progress of the actual project I’m working on.
Taking for example the Nadya artwork. I really felt the need to update constantly so you can be sure I’m not slaking off XD
The WIPs are basically going to be screens of a portion of the artwork so I don’t spoil the surprise of seeing the full artwork in a nice resolution at the end. You can correct me later whether or not you like the way WIPs works. Meanwhile, I’ll post them like this.
In addition, I realized something while working on Patreon. For example, since the process of the drawing is such a large image, I noticed that it looks better as an attached file, and it doesn’t work that well as a preview picture. With that in mind, I designed these preview cards. They are going to work to identify the process and the artwork they’re from, and you’ll be able to see the main file as the attached artwork.
I think this will also improve the navigation in the Patreon page for people that are looking for a particular process of an artwork to see how it was made, and it won’t bother the people that just want to see the main artwork. Besides, these are not going to be numbered, thus they won’t get mixed up with the WIPs.
You learn while doing, and this a good example of it. Hopefully by the end of the year we’re going to have a pretty awesome way of working. If you notice that something could be done in a better way by doing it differently, feel free to correct me. That way, we will all have the best experience :)
