Sorry for deleting previous post, after I posted it thought maybe instead of telling I should just start doing things to see how it works, because it's just stuff that goes behind curtains... but since some of you already got to see it after I deleted it, I guess I should leave it on.

It's something I've been trying to practice recently, work on stuff before announcing anything so I don't share ideas that sound good at first, but  end up being scrapped for not being practical, but since this is patreon I guess you might be interested in hearing all the stuff. So here's the previous post:

Guys I want to ask you a sincere question.
Some time ago, I don't remember how long, I was almost ready to close my patreon for good, For many reasons, but mainly because I was starting to become depressed about the results I had over 3 years of running it, and the fact that everything seemed to heading backwards instead of moving forward.
So my question is, what keeps you around?
It is obvious that managing all the sites takes quite some time, and providing content for all the people obviously splits my attention, and I was recently seriously considering on just focusing on the people that have been around supporting my patreon, because you're the ones that actually took the extra effort to support me financially...
However, that obviously has another consequence. Keeping the content behind patron almost guarantees that not many people will get to see it, which means no more growth. Not that I have been experiencing much but still..
Besides I actually quite strongly believe that people would quickly forget about my existence if I wasn't sharing content from time to time XD
So I don't know.. maybe I'm only going to be sharing stuff here for a while until I figure the next move, because it's kinda disheartening realizing that not many people outside this circle thinks my content is worthy of support.
Let me know what you would like to see more often, and maybe I'll change the way I've been doing things one more time.

I myself am perfectly fine with whatever it is you wish to create. Although, I am always perfectly willing to offer advice whenever you need it of me. Besides, considering the amount of years you have aided me, I only think it is fair that I give something back. Although, I am not certain if locking everything behind Patreon would be a good idea. But the idea of making a few works that might be Patreon exclusive for at least a month would be a good idea. I also think that advertising polls through patreon would be a good idea where your patrons gets to vote on different ideas you have in mind. Such as maybe once a month have different ideas for lewds you wish to make and the patrons gets to vote wich one you make for the month. Or maybe even add some sort of fun raffle at some point where one lucky winner who donates a certain amount can win something gun to furthr the connection between patron and artist.

Incredible Intruder

I do have to admit that what drew me in, at first, was the rather huge amount of Shantae fan art that you produced. Your style meshes very well with the design of Matt Bozon for those games and, after having written some stories featuring your work and suggesting that people support you on Patreon, I would have felt a little hypocritical not to support you as well. However, I can certainly understand that having some expectations out of Patreon, which aren't met, can be quite soul-crushing. Appreciation for your work and your art is nice, but we do live in a world where monetary compensation and support is pretty much the ultimate endorsement in terms of liking an artist. It's no wonder you might start to think of ways to perhaps turn the situation around, that perhaps things might have to change. As for what you should do, I think one of the commentors above told it pretty nicely: make something with your characters. Create a little universe, a little continuity, something for people to get invested in. Individual pieces can give you some practice, but if people can get to care about those characters and their lives, then they'll want to know what happens next. Combine that with a certain stream of content, well-regulated, and you could definitely bring some more people on your Patreon.
