First, Tae sneezed, and it sounded like "frachoo!". Hair scrunchie is called (pronounced) "shushu" in Japan (originally "chouchou" in French). I believe many girls would think "shushu" has some cuteness in its sound. So, they came up with Franchouchou. (furanshushu) The underlining humor is that rotten (furan) smell (shu) is also called "furanshu" in Japanese. It's like they were trying to hide their rotten smell by attaching an extra sound of "shu". That's why they were joking that if they took a hot spring bath, rotten smell will be removed from Franchouchou, and only "chou" remains afterwards.

So about the CGI during this show, it isn't very flattering that they use it in almost every time they perform. The creators seemingly capped the frame rate of it for no reason in the first season and it shows. The second seasons CGI looks much better due to the cap being removed.
