Cordially yours, Dennis

I had to research Brave Girls a couple weeks ago because a song came up in my recommended from before 2016 but I remember in Queendom 2 it said they debuted in 2016. The original Brave Girls debuted in 2011 with 5 members, went on hiatus in 2013 and came back as a 7 member group in 2016 (2 original members and 5 new ones including the 4 we know today). In 2017 the 2 remaining original members left, and one went on hiatus for health reasons. In 2020 they once again became active, with the 4 members we see in Queendom 2. Last year they disbanded but signed contracts with a new company to carry on as a group, but now they are called BB Girls. (Thanks wiki, I love you)

thank you for that research!! I hadn't gotten around to dive into the wiki yet and find out!!

I genuinely think everyone was afraid that Brave Girls were going to be forced to leave the competition and that nobody really wanted anyone eliminated early, so people tended to put their "extra" votes towards Brave Girls. They got two "up" votes on the self-eval (and no "downs"), the global voters made sure to pull for them, and the live voters (who've been getting two votes all season) voted for their favorite and also Brave Girls instead of their favorite and also Hyolyn (who just gave outstanding performances all season). I'm not saying they did a bad job - far from it (I don't think they would have gotten first place if they did). Their performance was very touching, especially when you know their story (part of the reason I made sure to give you an overview in the comment section for a previous episode). It's just... while their devoted fanbase (soley or primarily for them) was probably relatively small, it feels like nobody wanted them eliminated early and were willing to do their small part to help make sure of it. At least for me, I am a multi-stan, and they were probably my personal 5th or 6th favorite in the show (I'm a bigger fan of Sistar than Hyolyn's solo stuff, so I'm still not sure where I'd personally place her as far as my preference goes), but I knew they were going to have a hard time on the show and I didn't want to see them (or anyone else) eliminated. And I'd like to feel that, for the most part, everyone else felt the same as me on it.

I do agree with you! I think there were many people out there that voted for them that might not have if they were not at risk for leaving if they got last. It wasn't my favorite performance of all 6 from the 2 episodes. I do believe there were better performances that I would have liked to have seen get first.
