Oh my goodness, apricots are out of season! Need to do this again when they're in season - go to the farmer's market and get a perfectly ripe one! Apricots can be mealy and have a gross texture if they've been sitting on a shelf. We have an apricot tree and I also eat them by the punnet (just learned that word!) in the summer.
