Holy crap, if I had Seth MacFarlane's money, I would totally go all out for Christmas, that sounds insane.

You want good soft gizzards you simmer 'em first in a well seasoned bullion (onion, garlic, paprika, anything else you like -- water or broth is fine) for 50-90 minutes. Let them cool to room temperature while saving 2-3T. of the bullion. Toss the gizzards in remaining liquid in batches, bread them (catfish coating tastes better than chicken coating), then fry them in hot oil for 3 minutes per side in a skillet or 4+ total if fully submerged (deep frying). Drain on rack or paper towels. They eat just fine without dipping them, but if you must dip try REAL ranch dressing (mixed from a buttermilk-recipe package, NOT a "buttermilk added" milk-recipe package. COMPLETELY different flavor from the bottled stuff!). Enjoy.
