One of our own is under siege.

Michael Whaite, the genius UK graphic artist behind the "Ralph" caricature, the HOLLYWOOD BABBLE-ON, and THE RALPH REPORT logos, needs our support.

This is his work:

But, besides helping me out with amazing visual arts support for our podcasts, Michael is also a writer, illustrator, and animator who has worked in children’s television and books for thirty years.

Michael's new book is called 100 DOGS, and it is a silly, fun, rhyming book for toddlers. Here's a page:

And, actually, it's THIS page in his book that's causing Michael some deeply disturbing problems.

The extremist Bull Terrier loving community in the UK is accusing Michael of "breedism" and say he is attacking the whole breed by labeling the dog in the upper left-hand corner as "scary". (Couldn't the Boxer breed lovers claim the same thing about their favorite dogs being labelled "poker cheaters"? lol)

Instead of just not buying his book, these "Bullies" (seriously, that's what they call themselves) have threatened Michael and his family with violence and brutally attacked him on social media. Their displeasure has gone over the top to the point of hysteria.

But, perhaps, even worse, they are calling for the editing, or the recall, of Michael's book because, basically, their feelings are hurt.

If you believe in an artist's right to create as he/she sees fit, please do me a favor and sign this petition in of support of Michael.

In today's "culture of outrage", we just can't let special interest groups dictate how artists express themselves.

I know Michael.

There was NO malice towards this breed or any of the other 99 dogs in his book. His only goal was to entertain children. I don't believe he needs to change his work to placate ANY group.

Thank you!
