Martian Exobiology (Patreon)

So, a while back I had a short-lived project idea about an examination of life on Mars had conditions been slightly more favourable for macroscopic, multicellular life. While I liked the idea, I eventually lost passion for it because it started getting too complicated for something that was supposed to be short. I'm not sure I'd go back to it now because many of the ideas were recycled for R'lyeh.

Anyway, this was one of those drawings I did for the project, it's an earlier version of a drawing I did for the "Biota of Western Cimmeria" (right one on the third row), although in this earlier version the spider-hounds were vampires instead. I made the mistake of drawing this on a single layer as a challenge, but it proved to be too much of a headache, so I ended up redoing the whole thing.
