Mia, Fuerteventura, 2013

When wanting to shoot a road trip story with Mia, I had major problems finding an undisturbed location in Fuerteventura. I was not so experienced with working abroad in 2013 and at my first sport, there were other tourists, then there was too much traffic passing-by.

It took until 2 pm for me to make the first photo. I was getting nervous already, but Mia is one of the most perfect models I ever worked with. She just rocked!

Amazing! You got such a great style. Keep going, how about some backstage videos? May i ask what lens you can't do without? Nice to hear some good photography tips too.

I try my best with backstage videos, but not every model that is photogenic also can perform well for video. When the footage is too boring, I don't dare to work with it. I shot these images on my Canon 1ds MKIII with the 40mm pancake lens from Sony as well as my 50mm f/1.2. Since 2015 I shoot with Sony. Currently I am with my Sony a7RIV and I shoot with Sony 35mm f/1.8, Sony Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 and Zeiss Batis 85mm f/18.
