Weekly Fanart Poll: POKEMON Girls!🏅 (Patreon)

This week we have a topic that I’ve been wanting to do for a while. Not only is it one of my favorite cartoons because of the nostalgia of the first Pokemon sagas that I grew up watching on 📺, but because without a doubt its girls throughout the entire series have a unique and varied design, which is well appreciated today among the large number of characters that lack this uniqueness that makes them stand out in design range.

Although let's not talk about the girls' personalities, as for Pokemon, because most of them are not my favorite archetypes. I don't forget that it’s a children's program, but that’s never an excuse to write dumb and flat characters 😒 I know my girlfriend, who is a writer, would agree with me. And Idk about you guys, but there are female characters in series and movies that I simply find UNBEARABLE, yelling at them on the screen (guilty), but that she sometimes tells me are written this way for the narrative, so they’re meant to be hated and detestable from the beginning, which in fact requires a good writer behind the scene, leaving us with only a few really well written characters that become in truly endearing ones. That's what I think of Misty, the first co-protagonist of the series, who had a backstory and a strong personality. From then on the girls who continued to appear were in decline, becoming flat and boring, but not even the male protagonists are saved! However, what concerns us is how the level of design of its characters is maintained, otherwise they would not be the "Pokemon Girls" we love so much. No matter who you ask, they’re undeniably beautiful. The Pokemon that emerged over the years are another topic, hahaha.
