London Knife Crime Doc? (Patreon)

I am considering doing a sort of "Special Report" Popular Front documentary about the insane knife crime epidemic in London. It's getting to the point now where the gang wars are so ferocious teenagers are regularly getting stabbed to death. It doesn't really fit our MO, but I was thinking maybe as a one-off it would work. Still unsure though, so I'm doing a poll. Let me know your thoughts.

You are a great storyteller so will make this is as compelling as any other conflict you've covered. And it is a conflict still at the end of the day, albeit it a more unusual one.

It's as viable as any conflict story you've covered in my opinion. Uk rapper and writer Akala has written some interesting things about gangs in the past, highlighting that Glasgow had a similar problem in the 90s, although the vast majority of gang members were white, pointing to the real causes of poverty and lack of opportunity for many inner city estate youths.

Certainly not, I just think it's a funny story. I think shedding light on it would help ground it because I've simultaneously heard "it's a big problem" and "it's not as bad as they make it sound" Probably somewhere in the middle, no?

It's a conflict between the gangs and the police in essence, what are the police doing to actively stop it, but I'd go into the use of social media like Snapchat which is used to showcase knife acts. How do people feel about the situation in the communities where the gangs mainly come from. Different act of conflict for sure. Plus you'd have a banging selection of music to use for it

As an American, this is something that gets discussed a lot here in the context of gun control arguments. It's also one of the things that seems the most curious/bizarre about the UK, so I would love to hear the perspective of someone who is actually in Britain talk about it.

This would be interesting to see, there was a lad only 15 who got stabbed to death at the station near where I am in London which was just insane to think about, always wonder why it happened. But yeah would be good to see another viewpoint on this
