RIP Ruslan 🌹🇺🇦 (Patreon)

One of the fighters who featured in our documentary ‘Anarcho Kyiv’ (2018) has been killed whilst fighting against the Russian invasion on the frontlines in east #Ukraine.

His real name was Ruslan Tereshchenko (callsign ‘Skrypal’ and nicknamed ‘Mikola’ in our doc). He was an anarchist who lived in the real world and lived by his word, so when Russia launched the full scale invasion of Ukraine, Ruslan enlisted and went to fight—not for the government or the state, but for the survival of his friends, his neighbours, and for the freedom of Ukraine.

We kept in touch with him since our documentary in 2018. Even whilst on the front he only showed positivity and happiness. He also fought in the Donbas in 2014 against Russian separatists who annexed the region after Maidan.
